Hi....anybody know if Disney will continue the deal of upgrading MYW tix from child to adult at no extra price if the child turns 10 before depleting the days on the ticket? We always buy the longest Park Hopper available figuring we'll use any un-unsed days on a subsequent trip....I don't have enough days left for my soon to be 8 DD, so I'd like to buy her a 10 day MYW Ticket with No Expiry and Park Hopping privledges from TicketMania, but we won't use all of those days before she turns 10. Will they convert her to an adult ticket when she's 10 at no additional cost? If not, can I just pay the difference in cost for an adult ticket or will I have a problem doing that because I originally bought the ticket at TicketMania?

Thanks!

No one can know what Disney will continue to do in the future.

Their policy which has been in effect for many years allows the free exchange of a partially used child ticket to an adult one with the same admissions and entitlements after the child becomes 10 years old or older. Where you purchased the ticket makes no difference.

In order to do this exchange, you must bring both the old child ticket as well as the now 10 year old or older "child" to Guest Relations. They will scan the ticket and check to make sure that the dates it was used make sense with the current age of the child.

Generally, you only need to do this if the "child" is now well into their teens or older. 10, 11, 12 years olds will not be questioned if they use an old child ticket at the gate.

If you find that you have a completely unused child's ticket in the same sitaution, you will not be able to exchange it for free. You will be credited with the purchase price towards a new adult ticket.

Great! Thanks for the reply! I guess if they allow 10 year olds to use partially used child passes then I don't need to worry about anything. If we continue our current 'visit patterns', at most she'll have 2 days left on her '10-day child ticket' for our trip that will be one month after her 10th birthday.

I'm one of those people that usually follows the rules exactly, but even I'm reluctant to buy an adult ticket for an 8 year old just because Disney would consider her a '10 year old' adult before she depleted all the days. For all I know, we might end up using all 10 days before she's 10, so I'm going with the 10-day pass.

Anyway....thanks again....you've given me some piece of mind!
