Upgrade Free Dining Plan?

This is totally hypothetical, but if you get the QS Dining plan for free, can you upgrade it to the regular dining plan by paying would would be the difference?

Yes; we did this on our last trip by calling and updating our package by phone. We only paid the difference between the two plans--still a GREAT value!!

Yep, I've done it twice during free dining. This time I booked the SP&D promo and am at Pop, but paid to go to the regular dining plan. So worth it for us, we love TS meals!

Yes, you can but make sure you do your math. A few years ago we went during free dining, planning to stay at an All Star resort and upgrade. Since my kids were both considered adults, we were paying to upgrade 4 adults to the regular dining plan. Once we added that in, it was only about $100 more for a whole week to just stay at a moderate resort and get the regular dining included. We've done that three years now. We always check what it would be to stay Value and upgrade and the difference is so small that we've stuck with Moderate stays.

What the previous poster said. If we get free dining we always book moderate for the reason that we like to have sit down meals and by the time we upgrade its costs very little more.
