Upgrade at the terminal...cost??

We are wanting to upgrade our cabin if possible, can anyone tell me if they have had any luck with this and also what did you have to pay. We will be doing the 7nt eastern. Any and all info is greatly appreciated. I know this has been asked before but I'm not really great with finding posts , now when I see a post that is helpful to me I print it out!! Thanks........

IF an upgrade were available it would depend on what category you are booked in and what category you want to upgrade to. i don't know if the number of people in you cabin make a difference or not. Just remember, upgrades are not always available.

I would love to have a veranda. Have been thinking about a paying to upgrade to a veranda and not telling my DH and DSs. Would I be better off to wait and see if any "magic" occurs? If not then pay at the port?

Any opinions would be appreciated.

On my last 4-day I upgraded at Port from a CAT11 to a CAT8 for two adults for a total of $253.

Keep in mind our cruise was not sold out. Don't expect to be able to do this every time.

When we booked (directly with Disney-may I add/no agent)
we were told that we could ask for a complimentary upgrade. I don't know if it will work, last time we sailed the ship was sold out but we're gonna try again.

We went from Cat 10 to cat 4 at a cost of $1000.00

was awesome ... was the only thing they had
was on a 7 day western the inaugural as a matter of fact
Asked for cat 3 no luck.....
