Can you upgrade the so-cal two-fer to a park hopper?

We are going to DLR for one day this Friday. I just wanted the one day/one park ticket. There is a chance that we might park hop, but I wasn't sure if we would so I figured we'd get the least expensive ticket and then upgrade if we needed to.

My dad bought the tickets today. The ticket booth CM offered him the two-fer ticket since it's the same price as the one park/one day ticket. I know it's a better deal, but we just aren't going to be at the parks for two days.

If, on the first day of the ticket's use, I decide that I want to park hop, could I upgrade the ticket to a one day park hopper?

If I do squeeze in a trip to DCA on Thursday and then go to DL on Friday, but want to park hop on Friday, could I upgrade it? What would that cost me? THe price of a two day park hopper?

TIA!

I know there is a hopper version of the twofer for a higher cost.

checking disney website........

Southern California Resident 2-Day Park Hopper® Ticket

Upgrade your 2fer! For $25 more, you can upgrade your 2fer ticket to a 2-Day Park Hopper®. Visit both parks on the same day for two days. Just for Southern California residents!

I think the answer is.. yes you can!

You could even pay a bit more ($65 over cost of the 2 fer or $40 more than a hopper 2 fer) and buy a Socal select AP. :thumbsup2

I remember reading here that a Socal resident can buy up to 6 of the 2fer tickets. My family is coming in from out of town and we wanted to visit the park. I live in Socal, they do not. So, from my understanding, I will be able to buy these tickets and we can all get in correct?

Also, I read that you can upgrade these to 2-day parkhoppers for only $25 more. Would my out of town family be able to upgrade them since I bought them first? Or is the upgrade strictly for locals?

I am not from So Cal and used a 2-fer ticket two weeks ago without a problem. It was bought for me by a So Cal person. Your family should be able to use them just fine.

As for upgrading them, I thought about doing that but never did. I would assume that you could without a problem.

Have a great trip!:wizard:
