Am I able to upgrade my current 6-day park hoppers to 7-day? If so, how much does it cost? DD13 & I are going June 3-10 and I was planning on not going to the parks one day, but if it doesn't cost that much, I might just upgrade. Also, can I do it anytime of our stay? If I do not need to do it right away, I would wait and see if we wanted a non-park day midtrip. Thanks....:cool1:

Not to hijack your thread, but I was wondering the same thing. If I buy the 5 day PH could I upgrade to an 8 day?

Yes, you can upgrade. But unlike WDW, you lose any discount when you upgrade. So you don't necessarily pay just the difference between a 6-day pass and a 7-day pass. You pay the difference between what you paid for a 6-day pass and the full price of a 7-day pass. So if you bought the tickets online for $20 off or something, you'll have to pay that $20 discount when you upgrade.

I didn't know there was even an option to get a 7-day pass, but somewhere on disboards, someone was talking about upgrading to more days once they got to the park. I'm not exactly sure that this is what we will want to do, but if it doesn't cost all that much, we may do it. I guess I will just have to ask once I get there. I honestly thought 6-day tickets were the most days you could get on a multi-day pass.

The upgrade price is about $5/ticket. And now there are no longer selling 6 day passes.

Yes, someone had posted first hand experience of paying the $5. per day cost to upgrade their parkhopper ticket. The cast member at the ticket booth said no it could not be done, but this person knew to ask to speak to a supervisor who confirmed yes indeed it can be done, and did it. So if you get a negative response from the cast member you are asking, make sure to ask to speak to the supervisor....oops! I mean lead right? lol...

Thanks! I am sure glad I had already purchased our tickets before the price change. I will have to update when we return to how upgrading from 6-7 day went. Even if we decide to not upgrade, I plan to ask, because I am super curious what answer I get from the CMs.

I think it depends on what date/year it was when that upgrade happpened and which day were they adding on. Adding a 2nd day to a 1 day ticket is more expensive than adding a 3rd day to a 2 day ticket, etc.

Going from a 4-day park hopper to a 5-day park hopper last week cost you $12. Today it would cost you $15.

Going from a 6 day to a 7 day would likely be less per day.

Thanks for posting! I too remember seeing a post on the boards a few months ago about upgrading for a minimal cost as smiley_face 2 mentioned. We are hoping to add a day or two to our 6 day park hoppers once we get there too since they don't offer the 7 day park hoppers. Please do post and let us know the details.

Have fun on your trip!

Yes please let us know! We are have six day tickets for our July trip but would like 7 or 8.

I have not been to DL yet but I thought you would have to pay gate price for the upgrade and only get what you paid as credit.

If a 5 day park hopper gate price is $290 and it is $5/day to upgrade wouldn't that make the gate price of a 7 day hopper $300?

I purchased 6 day hoppers before the price went up for $251. Wouldn't I have to pay $49 to upgrade to 7 day hoppers?

Would be very interested to hear if OP is able to upgrade for just the $5/day as I have an August trip planned and would really prefer the 7 day tickets.

Yep. There is a definite lack of information out there with regard to updating past a 5 day pass. The only thing we know for sure is that if you bought your passes at a discount, you'll pay more to upgrade.

Since there is no "price" for a 7 day hopper, that's a little more at the discretion of the CM. I haven't heard anyone pay more than $5 per day over the 6 day....since there is no longer a 6 day it may be a little different for adding the 6th day to a 5 day pass ($10-15 for example).

Yes, please check back in and post to this thread after your trip. We're in the same exact boat as you. We bought 6-day hoppers for the discounted $251/$231 and if it's not too expensive to add days we might do it since we'll be there for 10 nights. If a 7-day option was on their website I would have done that. Thanks.

We were at Disneyland last week & had purchased 6 day Park Hopper passes through Get Away Today at $231/adult & $211/child. We were able to upgrade to a 7 day pass for just $5 each.

That's great. Did you just go to the ticket booth before going to the gate or did you upgrade sometime after entering and getting your gate issued ticket, like on day two?

We went to the ticket booth to pick up our park hopper passes (we bought through getawaytoday.com but had to pick up our passes at the ticket booth). We asked to upgrade at that point but we were told to start using our park passes & to upgrade later on in the week after we started using our park passes (not sure why we just couldn't upgrade then). On day 6, we went again to the ticket booth and were able to upgrade for just the $5/person.
