UPDATED: Q about popup on desktop

UPDATE: This is absolutely driving me crazy. I only get this popup on Disboards and it constantly comes up and blocks part of my screen. It doesn't have any text and I can make it drop back down temporarily, but the arrow remains and the box will just pop again shortly. I don't think I get this on my phone but I generally like to use my desktop for DIS. If anyone has any suggestions for how to get rid of this I'd appreciate it.

If someone could help me with this, I'd appreciate it. In the past week or so, I've had a white pop-up show up on the bottom of this site. It's a box with an arrow on top. It will periodically rise up and there is nothing on it (which I assume is due to ad blockers) but I have to click the arrow to make it go down again and it sits there a while before rising again.

I've had no luck removing it so I was hoping someone had a suggestion for how to get rid of it! Thank you. Here are some pics of what it looks like on my screen.

Multiple times today, when trying to click into forums or into threads, I've gotten the following message:


Hitting "Reload" brings the desired page up. The only commonality is it's through my home network and the Dis (not on other sites). Anyone else?

It’s a Chrome browser issue. I’ll have to do some additional digging.

That's just the ad bar in that case. Sometimes it has ads, sometimes it won't.

@DizMe at the bottom of my screen it says "DISboards.com would like your permission to enable push notifications." Do you have that? Or maybe it is the prompt for cookie settings. I get that pop up once a month or so.

Yes, I do have that, but I'm afraid to click on the enable push notifications text. Is that enabling it or did I accidentally push that at some point?

Ok, so I opened the push notifications and I'd set certain things to be notified about but I don't think anything has changed. I never enabled anything to pop up (as far as I can tell). And it's just a blank box.

No, I've never enabled push notifications. That's why the notification always sits at the bottom of my screen. Hmmm.
