We're headed out in about 20 minutes to go back to the doctor to follow up on the chest xray and blood work she had done due to the heart murmur the doc found two weeks ago. Either we'll be referred to a cardiologist or the pediatrician will say it was nothing! (Then, maybe momma can stop worrying---about that anyway!)

I missed your post on this. If you are questioning heart issues you need an an Echocardiogram from a Pediatric Cardiologist.
Push for the referral.

Trust me you won't relax until you get this done.;)

God Bless little Brittany with prayers, XO's and :tink: headed your way!

Sending good thoughts and well wishes your way. Let us know what the doctor says.

:goodvibes :wizard: :grouphug:

Okay, well we're back. The doc said she didn't hear the murmur anymore. She said her platelets were elevated (they were 532---norm is 150-400). She said that could be from an infection or anemia, but she didn't have either of those, so :confused3 and her chest xray showed "prominence of interstitial markings suggestive of asthmatic bronchitis" and had a recommendation of a four view chest series with barium. But, the doctor said, well she's not showing any symptoms, so :confused3 (she actually shrugged her shoulders, hence the little smiley).

So, I guess nothing, which is good. I think I would've felt better with a follow up chest x-ray in a week or so, but my husband said he thought it was fine.....the doctor wasn't concerned. So, :confused3 (me shrugging now.)

You know, it is so hard to know the right answers, huh?
I would not be thrilled with THOSE results as mom, that is for sure.
What do you do?

Have to be part mom/part detective, sometimes. Thankfully I have finally wrapped up my 9yodd's "issue's"...she has been diagnosed with Vasal Vagal Syncope.

Hope things go well for your dd!!!

Momma,
If you don't feel comfortable with the results and want a follow-up x-ray, have one done. Otherwise, you will keep worrying.

I'm glad the results from today were positive. :goodvibes

I would not be happy with the conflicting reports myself. I would go for the x-rays!
Hope everything is ok as the Dr. thinks! :)
