Watching a nightmare before Christmas and doing all those last minute things like feeding fish and turning stuff off Can't believe it's here. Now to survive the next 17 hours or so of travel time.

We've lost a whole day and our usual sleeping routine is gone so instead of arriving early in the morning and keeping everyone awake till bed time, we will now sleep on the plane and then get there and have to sleep all night lol oh well Nothing we can do.

Oh no......
Who are you flying with??
Like you said not much that can be done, besides you're on holidays!!

Damn - that sucks - I have never had that happen but dread it as I plan flights and sleep carefully. Hope you have no further delays and everything else goes well.

Have a great trip Jacs, sorry to hear you have been delayed, but hope you are off soon.

Wow that's a big delay! Travelling is tiring though, and you don't get proper sleep on the plane. I think you'll be fine :thumbsup2

Ok, so now they've cancelled our flight and we will be leaving tomorrow morning at 7am so we have to wake up at 5am. Ugh. It's a connecting flight now too :(. So we have to go through Sydney. We also will arrive later, probably get to our hotel about midday instaed of 8am :(. So thats another half day gone. We managed to change our home flight to the next day so that we don't lose too much time BUT............ We leave at 8:15 instead of 11:15, and you girls know that every Disney hour is precious, AND.........it's on Delta, please tell me it will be ok. Not a fun relaxing way to start a holiday. They didn't even ring to let us know. If I hadn't looked it up myself then we would have turned up at the airport expecting to leave tonight. PLUS........they've checked in our luggage and my husband has severe sleep apnea and his cpap machine is in the luggage. Ugh. This sux

Also, will we be able to get accommodation at the hotel and will we have to change rooms. I can't get through to them because they are closed. :(

Oh no! That sucks! :sad1: Hopefully you get through to your accommodation soon. The last thing you would want is for them to cancel your stay because you don't check in when they expect you to! I don't know if they do that, but it would worry me.

So they won't give your luggage back? That seems weird, what are you supposed to wear?

They won't give it back just based on the CPAP? I think it would be worth a try. I would be sticking mad too.

My hubby needs a CPAP and I couldn't think of anything worse. Qantas let you take it on board and it isn't counted as carry-on, it might be worth checking with Virgin/Delta is the same.

We didn't ring them to ask. We just can't be bothered. He's lost a bit of weight lately so we're hoping he's ok tonight.

Oh no! Definitely not a good start to the trip :sad2:

I would send an email to your accommodation just advising them of the situation... just in case.

Hope you and your DH manage to get some sleep.

We did get through to our accommodation of our first hotel and that is all sorted and they are very understanding and won't charge us for the night we miss because it was a flight delay/cancellation. For the night we have added to the end of our trip, that's who we can't contact. You'd think the disney hotels would have a 24 hours reservation thingy. oh well.
