Updated MK hours... BOG advice at park opening

Well, what I feared happened. MK is now opening at 8:00 instead of 9:00 on June 2. We, of course, have BOG reservations at 8:00. Goodbye PPO breakfast!

My question is... for those who have done reservations right at park opening, is it crazy trying to fight the rope drop crowds to get to BOG? Can we still get there around 7:45 to make our way back, or will we all just be grouped together?

I am pregnant so it was not as important for us to get on SDMT right after breakfast, but now I am just concerned about the logistics of actually getting to BOG at that time.

Thanks for any advice!

Everyone will be let into the park around 7:45, but you don't have to rush or push your way through. Just make your way back to BoG and check-in for breakfast.

Even though you don't want 7DMT, you're still giving up that golden first hour of park touring. You'll be behind the crowds the rest of the day. Are you sure you want to keep that ADR?

I think you might want to look at the reason you booked a PPO meal. If the reason is to be in the park when it opens and be located near any of the attractions in advance of RD< I agree with @sharonabe. This ADR now negates any advantage. My family also has no interest in 7DMT however we love the standby queue for Peter Pan. If you are not there early, that line is LONG.

I'm going to agree with PP that no breakfast is worth losing the precious first hour that MK is open. Is there any way that you can move the time?

Oh no..that likely means our PPO breakfast the next morning on the 3rd won't be PPO either. >.< That stinks.

But, with this being our first time in Disney, I wanted our first meal to be in the castle...so I guess we'll be keeping our ADR regardless.

Just an FYI...BOG is in the Beast’s Castle. Just wanted to be sure you were aware that it’s not in Cinderella’s Castle, the icon for the park. In my experience, most people are referring to Cinderella’s Castle when they say “the” castle.

June 3 is still 9am opening for MK. It could change, but hasn’t yet.

Thank you for all of your responses! I am going to keep checking for a later time (none available right now). Otherwise, we will skip BOG and do the rides. We were mostly going because my little sister really wants to eat there (and the breakfast menu is the only one that has something she would want!). I appreciate you guys taking the time to respond!

We did PPO open last year at BOG, When we entered, I just told the Cast Member at the rope that we had a ADR for BOG. They let us through, no problem. I want to say we were there 15-20 min before our ADR. We went in, got to order right away and got our food quickly. We were in and out in 30 minutes or so. And walked right on Small World and then did Jungle Cruise with very little wait. I say keep your 8:00, walk in BOG knowing what you are going to order to speed up the ordering process and enjoy!
