*UPDATED*greenban EXCLUSIVE: FINAL AKL UPDATE

Is there a way to do a screen capture in Windows?

Tony - Congrats on the new home and yes, you can do a screen capture in Windows. If you're on XP, just hit the "print scrn" button and that will copy it onto your clipboard. Then you should just be able to paste it. Hope that helps!

ETA that you might have to save it as an image first and then post it using the add an image option.

Welcome Home Neighboor! Never can have enough frogs!

You're right the resort is 'null' Seems IT has more work to do. And where are those point charts?

Here is a cut and paste from the contract details:

Contract Number 402####.7
Home Resort null

Yup ... same deal here ... but I'm in for a full 200 versus 50 / 50 / 50 / 50 ... I guess my guide is going to have to fix that? I was expecting to see (4) contracts added, not just one ... hmmm ... for the POH, any combination up to 150+ pts I would think would work, no?

ALT+Print Screen for the active window, Print Screen forthe whole desktop. It puts it on your clipboard, and then you can open Word, Paint or any other app that will take an image and Paste it in.

this is all very exciting!! does anyone know what the dues will be? that is a deciding factor. i love the idea of concierge.

are they attempting to make morphing legal? if they do that it will make it possible to use all points from each of your contracts.

what are contractor pts? are they extra free pts because of construction and how do you get them.:goodvibes

Dues will be $4.62/point. I just talked to my guide. Now gotta give DH the big sales pitch when he gets home!

Greenban- I was just wondering why you split your points up into 50 point contracts? Is there an advantage to this? We are looking to add-on and noticed others are doing the same as you.

Thanks for your help- Victoria

Victoria:

Hi. As for others doing what I do, I take no responsibility! I'm well :clown: nutso:crazy:, just ask anyone.

I have 3 kids (so far) and When it comes time to will the contracts, you can't split the points up, you must will the entire contract (like my 1156 OKW contract).

If hard times come, or for some unimanginable reason we need to sell, I can sell my points in 50 point blocks, not all of them at once.

Small contracts 25-70 points sell at a significant premium over large contracts, because they allow a less expensive way to buy into the DVC versus 160 points from DVC. The small contracts frequently don't last long enough to get posted onto TTS' website!

Hope this helps, and keep on asking, the people here are friendly and great! (Except Dumbo71 who is just mean! ;) )

-Tony

Hi Victoria...in the event you might ever want to sell any of your points, it is MUCH easier to sell a smaller contract than it is to sell a larger one. Smaller contracts may also garner a premium price on the resale market.

Also, if you want to be able to split up your contracts for your heirs, smaller contracts will allow you to do this. :)

Oops, I see Tony has already answered your questions!

Thanks for your help. Great reasons!!!! We only have one ds right now, but hope to have more. Thanks again for all the great info.

Well, Tony, I talked to our guide, and while I was originally thinking of 55 points, he made good sense talking about the 100 point incentives. Did you get the incentives with multiple 50 point contracts?

Not sure if this was posted, but the Points Calculator on the DVC site does have AKV on it now. The Points chart does not though.

I have a question, that maybe someone here knows the answer to. I just called MS and they said that until the Villas actually open, we can not use the AKV points! Not sure how this makes any sense though. I don't see the point in adding AKV pts if I can't even use them until after September when they open.

jdg345, Greenban,

Did you guys pay in full or finance. Mine still hasn't showed up yet. :confused3 I
I am getting a little worried becaue of the on 35k points being available. There were quite a few people interested.

HEY YA!!!!

My 5-50 point AKL contracts show up on my Point Page, and my 250 Points are there!!!

[/i][/b]

Congrats !!
Should I be worried because my contract doesn't show up and my credit card still doesn't have any charges pending ? My guide was supposed to enter the contract @ 8:00am but I have not heard anything from him confirming the transaction.:confused3

I was told today that they are not going to run out of points at all, that we have plenty of time to buy them. I sure hope they were right about that, since my guide is out of the office until Monday!

I wouldn't worry, our guide called today and said to expect a fedex package next week. Our contract has not shown up yet on member services either. But you can fool with the point calculator and get an idea of how many points it will take for a visit, We are hoping for a week in Oct and we would only use 108 points for a studio savannah view for a Sat to Sat stay.
With the first allotment of points being sold I don't think they'll even reach 150 names for the tapestry and if they did they wouldn't shut anybody out. I was told basically if you purchase in part to have your name on the tapestry you would even if it does exceed 150 names.

Yes. I paid $93 per point but my 200 points are in 4 separate contracts of 50 points each.
