Yeah, I know. And I still have about 20 to go. I just got carried away signing up for swaps.

Even though I have until mid to late Sept to finish them, I wanted to get them done and out of the way so I could move on to actual layouts. I think I've learned my lesson.

OK Robin, my question is since you finished all your swaps early will you not be tempting to sign up for more? I really have that problem! I keep saying no more swaps until I have some actual layouts done. It's hard not to join especially when it's ya'll and I know I will hear how wonderful it is. I am still beating myself up over not joining the character swap.

I got all the stuff for my frames and mats at the expo so I am going to get them done today and tomorrow. If I can stay away from the computer long enough! LOL!!! Good thing is I want to use eyelets and now I can with my new tool.

I have a few more poetry boxes left to make ( hopefully by tuesday ). Was waiting for a special tool and some more paper . I will put them in the mail as soon as possible.

I've been tempted but so far have been able to resist. It helps that on another website there's a "No More Supplies Challenge" going on. The challenge is that 1) You cannot buy any supplies until you've completed the number of pages you're pledging for the challenge. This means that you have to use your current supplies; 2) No signing up or posting any swaps for 2 weeks!
(The funny thing about that website is that we've just been swapping since I hosted the first one back in May. It took off like wildfire and there have been over a dozen since then - handmade and supplies, beginners and intermediate/advanced, greeting cards and trading pages. You name it and they're ready and willing to swap. I think I created a swapping monster over there. )

That's a good incentive to set a number of layouts I will do before I can join any more swaps.

Would those of you that are in both the Fall and Holiday swaps mind if the frames are the same but just different colors? I scrap lifted a frame idea and I really like it. They would be the same but different colors. Then I will make a coordinating mat for each. Would that be OK with ya'll?

I believe you're supposed to make 2 coordinating borders so they can be used on the edges of a page or a 2-page spread.

I am not doing two coordinating ones. And in the last swap it was one border and that's what I planned on this swap.

So, I'm only doing one.

My poetry boxes are the same color , just two different sayings and decorations . I'm not picky , I'm sure we will love whatever you make.

Funny, but in all the past swaps it's been 2 borders per person. If it's just one border per person, then why did I make 2 tags? And why do those making journal boxes have to make 2? And why do those making photo mats/frames have to make 2? It just seems a little uneven, work-wise for some of us.

Actually I just picked up a font for my new sizzix which I haven't used yet and came up with an idea I think will work. You'll have to all let me know what you think when you get them. If I like it of course after making the first one.

The borders are usually done pairs. The summer/ holiday swap had 2 Father day and 2 summer borders. They should be coordinating/same style so they go on opposite pages. The titles have only been one.
Borders are usually decorative.

The Dad borders from the last swap are my absolute favorite I just love them. I can't decide if I'll us them on my "All about me" album (when I get it going), or our DD's album with DH, or the sister albums I am making. I may have to scraplift it and use it in all albums.


So, anyhow I apoligize for the confusion on the borders. See what happens when a newbie to swaps host.

Glad you like them. I had a great time making them. (Hardest part was figuring out which "definitions" to use. )
