Sorry for all the questions. If I want to use the Walgreens cashapp offer I have to wait 24 hrs and can't use the target same day, correct?

You can use Target, then Walgreens the next minute. You can only not repeat the same store-specific Boost in the same alotted time it says (ie. valid once every 24 hrs)

You can use multiple boosts in the same day - the 24 hours is for re-using the same boost.

I just posted last night actually to say I used Sam's Club and Target back to back and both went through successfully with the boost applied.

Thank you. This is awesome.

Cool, there was an earlier question if you could get 2 boosts in the same day - was just confirming that it worked for me :)

You don't necessarily lose the first boost if you switch - but there is a risk of losing it. For some reason, sometimes when a boost is close to expiring (3 days left or less), Cash App stops showing that boost. If you have it loaded, it stays - but if you switch to a different boost, it may not show up anymore. This happened previously when Sam's had an enhanced boost of 7% cashback, people could no longer find the boost after removing it close to expiration.

However, just as an example - last night, I switched from the Target 10% boost to Sam's Club 5% boost so I could purchase the gift cards and use the ibotta 5% cashback. When I completed this, I switched back to the Target 10% boost and was able to use it. Target's boost still has 10 days left though.

This is new news to me, thanks for posting. I thought it was a total loss if you switched period. Ya know like black & white - the gray area you're mentioning is exciting. Thanks for posting!
And just so you know, when I tag anyone it's really for everyone. :p

Another cashapp question. I just tried to transfer $45 onto my cashapp so I can go to Walgreens to see if they have Disney GF (or other gift card I actually need for a gift). The cashapp told me (twice) - "declined for security reasons." Anyone ever have that happen? I do have another debit card that I will try to use. But really want to only use the one that I already added.

Had a strange thing happen at Target last night when trying to use my Target Circle Earnings along with a FSA card for purchases that included both regular and FSA items on the same order. They rang everything up and I used my FAS card first and it subtracted the FSA amount (like it does at other stores) and showed the amount I owed. I then went to use my Circle Earnings on the remaining balance and it gave an error message and would not let me use the earnings. The error message said something about not being able to do it because of a discount. They cashier tried it again and was flummoxed by this and got a supervisor. The supervisor was also confused. She finally backed all the FSA items out and it then took the Circle Earnings. She then added the FSA items in and I used the FSA card with no real issue other then one item she thought was FSA so instead of a repeat I used my regular debit card as it was only a $2 item.

So if anyone else has this issue you will now what to do.

For the Chase Walmart offer, anyone know if paying via mobile app would apply if I pay with Walmart Pay in store? It does say excludes in-store purchases but Walmart Pay goes through the app?

Check with your bank that the transfer actually went through. My bank flagged multiple transfers to Cash App as possible fraudulent activity. I had to tell them that the transfer was good even though Cash App showed the money in the app and my bank showed the transfer and pending.

I saw this pop up from an email from Slick Deals. My phone service is AT&T Prepaid and this is a great discount! I avoid paying taxes by using prepaid airtime cards to create a balance slightly more than my charges. I am not taxed (here in Wisconsin) to purchase the cards either.

Yes, I made the mistake of buying AT&T prepaid cards at Dollar General at the beginning of the summer when they had them for 20% off. Not only did Dollar general only accept cash for gift cards, they also charged sales tax on the ATT prepaid cards. Lesson learned, the Target discount is definitely better.

yeah, no help... I don't even think I'm chatting with a real person.

So I just set up an account for my son, he has the boost!
Well glad you were able to get the boost added somehow :) I was able to contact support via the app awhile ago when I had a problem with a boost properly applying the discount (this was before I realized I could just add the amount to my Cash app needed after the boost discount). They took a day to respond but eventually credited me for the boost amount.

My son has all the good boosts you posted... Home Depot, Xbox, McDonalds, Roblox, Target, Walgreens. I don't have any of them!

For those asking about using 2 CashApp boosts in the same day, as an FYI - tonight I used both the Sam's Club 5% and Target 10% offers via CashApp.

I combined the Sam's Club ibotta 5% offer with the CashApp 5% cashback plus whatever discount Sam's Club had for the gift card types I had not used (2x$150 physical packs and 2x$50 physical gift card which have some of the worst discounts) and CashApp instantly applied 5% back and ibotta tracked the 5% cashback. My savings only end up averaging around 12.7% unfortunately since the DGC cards I still qualify to buy through Sam's are not great. Eventually it will reset.

Then my 24 hour period (which is 24 hours and 1 minute) for the Target 10% cash back came up and I was able to also use that to purchase DGCs on Target's website. Instant $7.50 off (max you can use) Combined with RetailMeNot's 1% cashback and Target Circle 1% cashback as well. Interestingly though, I've been buying more than $75 each transaction with Target because I also have a make 4 $110 purchases, earn a $30 Target credit. So I've been buying $125 each time and I actually get charged $115. So I'm getting $10 off and not $7.50. CashApp requires I have $117.50 in my account for the transaction to go through.

So you can use 2 CashApp boosts in 1 day.
CashApp must like you. My Target Circle Bonus is make 4 $120 purchases. I selected Target in my CashApp and added $117.50 to see if I would get the same results as you. I purchased $125 in DGCs but I was charged $117.50 so I only got $7.50 off. I will still have a higher savings than if I had used my Red Card so that is okay.

How long has it been since you placed the order? I assume you're buying a $100 and $25 gift card, are you getting the physical or the eGiftcard? I'm buying a $100 and $25 eGiftcard.

It seems like it happens overnight for me for the transaction to fully process and then it says that I was actually charged $115 instead of $117.50 and I end up with $2.50 left in my CashApp account but not really sure why this happens.

I just made my first purchase tonight and yes it was a $100 and $25 eGiftcard. I will check tomorrow and see if the transaction amount changes. Thank you for all of your CashApp posts. They have helped me figure it out and finally get started with CashApp. I seem to always be late to the game.

Obviously we don't know all the details of the algorithms and Cash app logic, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was a max on the number of redemptions like the Amazon credit points offers. My dad worked in the customer rewards department for a gas station chain and I heard about the way those various offers are negotiated. Brands may pay per redemption, so there's typically some max dollar or max redemptions worked into the offer contract.

Regardless of the methodology, agreed that best plan as a user is to assume that if you swap, there's no guarantee you'll get it back.

My experience is that once a boost is loaded in your app you can continue to use it until it expires. So I haven't experienced reaching a max dollar or max redemptions. However with that said, because they limit how often you can use the boost, it does make sense that they would limit how many people could have the boost activated.

In other words, they know what the max possible redemptions are based on how many people have the boost loaded and how many days are left on the offer, so the offer may disappear if too many people have it loaded. It may also explain why the offer doesn't always appear for everyone at the same time - they may want to try to entice certain less active customers to use CashApp by offering better boosts to them at first. Then they may continue to open it up more based on the number of people who have it loaded.
