I had this problem. I couldn’t combine AND it would not scan for purchases. Luckily it was only a $25 card. I went to guest services in Epcot and they issued a different card that worked.

When you say it wont let you add to your cards. Do you mean it wont let you add that to your list of cards on the GC website? How many cards do you currently have active?

Yeah, my first thought as well would be that you have too many cards on the site.

Next step, I'd use an incognito window and try to add the card through there. That has helped me in the past when a card was erroring when I tried to add it to the site. Disney IT at its finest...

I tried an incognito window and that didn't work either, so I called the number on the back of the card, and they were able to transfer the balance for me using the card numbers I gave them. BUT, I had to provide the original amount both cards were purchased for, and the place where they were both purchased. Luckily for my "good" card I had the email of when I had ordered it from shopDisney, and I knew the "bad" card I had gotten from Best Buy (because I wrote it on the card), and I guessed correctly on the amount. The balance on that card was a weird amount, so I must have already used it previously. What's funny/slightly scary for me, is I had a stack of DGC's I was going through just to make sure they were $0 before I got rid of them, and I totally forgot I had a balance of $116 on this card! I think I probably was transferring it before and got an error, so I just figured I'd try again later and then completely forgot about it! Anyways, I wanted to share in case anyone else runs into this issue.

It should but the 1 mr offer I have is for online only purchases. All I can say is it doesn't think in store is online Missed that part when I saved it but would rather buy a gc in store so it's ok.

Yes I would rather buy in store too so that I could just buy 1 GC but I can buy 1 $100 and 1 $50 online and combine just didn't know which card to add the $150 offer to since one is for MR and the other skymiles.

Hi - general Disney gc question - I have a giftcard that has a balance per the Disney gc website, but it won't let me add to my cards, so I can't combine it with my other card balances. Has this happened to anyone else? It's the first time I've ever had this issue. Is there any way to fix it? Do you think I'll have any issues with using it? Thanks!

I’m not sure if this applies to your situation, but I found that I could not transfer funds from one gift card to another because there was a pending charge from ShopDisney. The funds were already deducted from my card, but I think behind the scenes, the funds were pending withdrawal as my ShopDisney order had not shipped. Once my order shipped, I was able to transfer the remaining funds.

Paypal has a deal for a $50 ebay gift card - on sale for $45, limit 1 per paypal account. I tried to pay with a Visa gift card that I had bought at Staples but paypal wouldn't accept it - however, it did let me use a mastercard gift card that I had bought at Staples.

On the Weis gift card page (and in the monthly home ad) they have the dates for the promotion as 5/4 - 5/14. (They must have updated the monthly home ad because at the beginning of the month it didn't have any dates listed with the promotion.)

That being said, they programmed it wrong because I purchased a $100 staples gift card yesterday and instead of 400 points it gave me 100 points (you normally get 2x points per dollar for gift cards). So instead of doubling the amount of points you should get, their IT team coded it backwards and you get half the points!

But when I called customer service, they credited me the points instantly so I'm guessing I am not the first one to call. It would have been nicer if they actually fixed it in their system instead of making everyone call customer service.

You guys should have been around for the great "eBay to Target/Gamestop/Bestbuy - rinse/repeat churn" circa 2015 -2017. Those were the times. You could get even better returns on gift cards. I turned $800 to over $2,200 in less than a year. I'm sure many on here back then did even better. Good times....
