$30 in Staples rewards just showed up in my account. As I understood it my purchases of Visa and MC GC would not count as rewards but I have not purchased anything else. Is it possible they tracked?

My Staples account as well. For some reason the Visa Gc purchased in January tracked for rewards. But you are correct. They shouldn’t have tracked.

They had a promotion during January that if you bought $100+ of any item in store, you would get $30 in rewards. I assume the promotion was supposed to exclude gift cards, but someone must have coded it wrong which is why we are all seeing the $30 in rewards.

The rewards can only be used in store and are counted as a coupon so you will not pay tax on anything purchased with those $30.

Unfortunately, Staples got rid of their kiosks so if you want to do an online order in store you must now do it at the register and it is a huge pain and you can't use online coupons anymore.

I received this email from chase Disney visa, the last paragraph states I maxed the offer but I haven't even used this card. I checked my statement and there are absolutely no charges in January or February, how could I have maxed it?

Just reading it myself... it's saying IF you've reached the maximum spend THEN you've maximized the rewards for the offer. Poor punctuation in the email.

I've had this offer too, and in my experience, I haven't received the cash back. What's been tricky is that I've received the email from Cap 1 that I made a purchase through them for the bonus, but then it never actually comes through. I was just looking at my account for another purchase that I made before Christmas (12.21) for Crocs, and I just got the credit today. I purchased a DCG thru the portal 1/17, so I suppose I still *could* get the credit, but other times I've ordered this way I didn't get it.

Rakuten pays on a quarterly basis, so your Feb payout is for Q4 '22. Anything you earned in Jan will be for the next quarter. Since you say you have at least one transaction in Jan that should explain some of the difference.
