Are you talking about capital one shopping? That 15% is only on new memberships according to my offer.
Oh crazy! No mine shows 30% now, and I didn't see any restrictions to membership, although GCs are technically excluded..

I wanted to go in mid-late November to try to catch fall colors. I have a LOT of miles tied up in Virgin Atlantic that we had planned to use for 2020.

Unfortunately, I now have committed to a trip with my son's band to Hawaii in early December 2023 and I don't think I can make them both work so close together... so I may have to rethink the "mid to late November" idea.
So actually, look into Zipair, they fly straight from HNL to Tokyo at discount prices (like, $300). That's what we are using this time, although hacking the airfare to use Virgin miles to book ANA Business or First sounds better haha...

I should clarify, we are flying Zipair back from Japan and stopping in Hawaii, then flying southwest back to STL. We do that entire trip for about $700 in airfare which is just about what half of a round trip ticket would normally run us...I figure thats a good deal for a free stop in Hawaii!

Thanks a had not seen an offer either. I generally like the mperks better than kroger fuel points as we can use them for groceries and it is hard for us to get the full $35 of gas ($1 off a gallon up to 35 gallons) as we just don't drive as much as we used to. I assume @FoxC63 will stick with kroger to fill up her thirsty new toy :)

You should have seen my 2004 Ford F150, just shameful! The rust started through the manufactured installed sunroof, water leaked into the body creating large holes on either side. I think the worst, not to mention most dangerous was how badly the bottom was rusted out. One good hit and I would have folded up like an accordion.

I traded my Dodge Dakota which was 5 years older at the time for the Ford F150 and it was in excellent condition. I've never seen a truck rust out like that before.

I don't think any pay out big..... they'll say 10% but it's usually only on the Membership.

Capital One Shopping has always paid out for me, but only 1% - 3% depending on the offers.

Just saying or rather "copying & pasting",

Do you remember when Capital One was at 8% -24% for giftcards. com?
Doctor of Credit wrote this for the 8%:
Update 12/1/22: Back to 8% on Capital One Offers – that’s not the regular portal, it’s special offers for Capital One credit cardholders, but it’s better than the portal in that it credits cash back (limit $1,000/quarter). You don’t really need to pay with a Capital One credit card, just have to click through, though the official terms say to use a Capital One card. Direct link

And this for the 24%
Targeted: The Capital One shopping portal is offering some members 24% cashback on purchases. Direct link

What you see at Cashback Monitor, pictured below, has nothing to do with that.

Aha! you found my old offer! They had trouble crediting me but I did eventually get $1500 back in Walmart Gift Cards haha. Man that was an insanely good deal. I wish I had bought more....I have used all my VVs lol, good news is....I won't have to pay my gas bill for a while!

But yes, 30% should trigger...although I find these special offers have issues proc'ing so make sure to screenshot/document. I had to do that with 2/3 of my gift card purchases and they quickly credited me. I may have to do it with my recent sam's purchases as well (I have a feeling they may not have tracked because I paid with a gift card...not sure if it is eligible for that reason, but worth an ask!

Sidenote: Fox you got me a little excited that perhaps that deal was back! lol

In the Doctor of Credit comments, others had to submit a ticket as well, and for the return, totally worth it!

I think most people get confused with capital one shopping portal when they see what cashback monitor is offering, it looks black & white.
However, if you have a capital one credit card, well then...
I think the best part of the personal/targeted offers is, you do not have to use the capital one cc.
At this juncture, I would definitely take screen dumps to ensure a smooth transaction if you need to submit a ticket.

Hey everyone! I’ve got a weird question and likely know the answer but let’s give it a try.

With the Disney Premier Visa, you get 10% off some merch purchases of $50+; does this come off your statement or is this a discount that a cashier would apply before swiping similar to DVC/AP discounts? Wondering if I could get the 10% off by showing my CC but use my gift cards to purchase instead.

You have to use the CC to get the discount which is calculated at time of purchase. Flashing is not allowed. :scared:
See what I did there? :poop:

I normally get an offer once a month or so from Meijer for their gift cards with essentially a 10% reward (10% back in Meijer money that I use on groceries). I noticed their app has not had any rewards at all on it in January, so I googled them and saw this: https://www.clickondetroit.com/news...-changes-to-how-mperks-rewards-program-works/

Not sure about this one yet - might be bad news for my gift card deals at Meijer 🙁

Thanks for posting and including the link.

I am staying on top of this. Currently there has been no mention if this will impact gc sales and/or offers. I too hope they don't mess with that part of their system. I do find it odd we haven't seen any gc sales lately, maybe they've been too busy updating the points system.

No new DP have been added at this time.

So when i click thru the cap 1 portal I get one thing and thru merchant offers on cap 1 I get another. But both of them are only the high % on memberships. And both exclude gift cards.

Hahaha. Thanks to everyone that responded to my somewhat off-topic question. It’ll be my first visit with the CC and discounted GCs so just trying to plan ahead as much as possible for maximum savings.

Darn, this reminded me to check on the status of my giftcards.com ticket and it did NOT track. It seems like the only way to follow up is a phone call, which is annoying. I'll stick to portals that are easier to follow up with in the future whenever possible. 😔

Hmm interesting, I have only done it on my phone and it just shows a raw 30%.
