Discount District with offer
Rite Aid:
Again thanks for posting!

Thank you for posting! Please let me know if my math is correct:

$300 + $5.95 fee = $305.95
- $15 promo - $8 Chase offer = $282.95
Roughly 6% off
In all the Office Depot's I have been in, they only visa above the $100 is the variable $20 - $200 which has a $6.95 fee. I haven't been in an OD recently, since every single one within 100 miles of me has closed down. (See picture below).

Weis Markets:
Earn 4x Points On $100+ 3rd Party Gift Cards
Excludes: Weis Markets gift cards, All financial cards (American Express, Mastercard & Visa), All prepaid reloadable debit cards (Amex Serve, Green Dot, Netspend, Paypower, ReloadIT, T-Mobile GPR & Univision) and All phone cards.
Expires 8/03/22. GCG

I have been hesitating to post this for a while since I know if enough people start doing this, they will eventually shut it down. But since we have decided the Weis gas points are not worth it for us (the gas is 45 cents cheaper at Costco, so almost half the savings are already gone), I will post this.

Even though Weis gas points rules always excludes financials, I have bought a $500 Visa around 6 different times and every time it awarded the 4x points (2000 points) when they had this deal. The last time I did this was at the end of June.

Thank you! I'm just going to get Disney GCs then. Seems like I won't be saving much getting Visa GCs

Yes, you have to do the math to see which works best for you.
Just so you know, you'll earn a small profit with the Visa's however you can turn that round and buy DGC whenever there's a sale, (expired offers) Kroger , Best Buy , Meijer or even on Happy brand gc's with Gamestop. And sometimes you can stack your purchase using a cashback website.

It's a hard call, you might have to wait to use the Visa GC which opens up another can of worms.

With the offer not expiring until 8/15/22, it might be in your best interest to wait & see what other offers may spring up.

I couple of data points on Meijer. First, on the promotion that expires August 13. This time, it's actually $10 in Mperks per $50 in gift cards spent. So if you buy a $500 Disney gift card, you'll get $100 in Mperks. Quite the deal. I actually had no idea until I bought one this morning and received the $100 in Mperks. I thought it had to be an error but checked the offer on my wife's Mperks account and sure enough, the offer is a $10 Mperk per $50 spent.

On another (less positive) note, Meijer has "upgraded" their systems (as of yesterday, according to the clerk) to no longer allow gift cards to be purchased with prepaid Visa, MC, etc. cards. I received a $25 prepaid Visa for renewing my natural gas with Great Lakes. I also had another $20 card from U of M for a reward. They're both the type that need to be activated when I get them and have a PIN option (which I've never used - they always just run as credit). Anyway, I swiped them and the system called for the clerk. When she logged in to clear the code it stated "invalid account number" for each.

That's when she told me they would not work. I explained that I had used those several times in the past and that's when she explained about the aforementioned "upgrade" to their systems. There was no way to try and run them as debit either. Also, She wasn't being a "gatekeeper" or anything. In fact, she was very apologetic about it. The weird part is I had a similar $5 card for buying some beer and that one worked. So it must only be certain types of cards. TL:DR, I would consider the ability to use prepaid Visa's, etc. at Meijer for gift cards as highly YMMV.

How do the Meijer Mperks work? Can you use as much as you want for a single purchase, or is there a limit to how much you can redeem at once. Also, how long do you have to redeem them, or is there no expiration? I tried finding answers to these questions on the Meijer website, but there wasn't a lot of details on redeeming them.

  • You need to create an account, then add the digital coupons. They can only be used in-store and NEVER online.
  • I believe $500 is the limit on any given gc purchase, Limit 10 of $50 in GC's.
    • You can purchase one $500 gc if you wish.
  • When earning rewards, buy X gc & get $5 reward - these rewards can be used independently. MPerks will ask you if you want them applied to your total during check out, one at a time. See Post #2442 for more information. :thumbsup2@4DisneyWVUfans
    • Allow 2 hours for Rewards to post on your account.
    • Rewards cannot be used to buy gift cards.
    • Always use full face value on your rewards, if your total is $22 and you have $25 in Rewards, you should only add $20 Rewards and pay the remaining balance out of pocket (OOP).
    • Rewards do expire: Rewards issued as paper reward certificates expire 60 days from the date they are issued. Digitally issued Rewards expire 45 days from the date they are issued. Direct Link

Since I bought a $500 GC, I received ten, $10 Mperks. The expiration date on them is 9/3. You can use them all at once or separately. The system will ask if you want to use one as your scanning. For example, as soon as you scan anything (even it's only $1) it will ask if you want to use one. If you say yes, the option to use the next one will pop-up once you've spent more than $10. As @FoxC63 mentions above, be careful to watch what you have left to scan. There is no refund/partial use allowed. If you have $5 worth of stuff and choose to use a $10 mperk, that mperk is gone and you just lost $5 in value.

Please note, this is not a coupon you need to clip, if you have an account the offer is automictically applied but you MUST sign into your MPerks at the register to earn the rewards.

UPDATE: Earn $5$10 Reward For Every $50 Spent On Gift Cards
  • Limit 10 per customer. Direct link to offer
  • Excludes: Meijer, iTunes, Amazon, Gaming, Sling TV, Google Play, CBS All Access, Spotify, HBO NOW, Hulu, Steam, Phone cards, Prepaid debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express
  • Expires 8/13/22.
