*UPDATED* DISDivas & Family October Mini Meet *UPDATED* (3.0 Version!)

Nothin.

I need to go home and cook!

BTW - can you believe that NEXT MONTH is October :woohoo: :woohoo: It's getting closer now - can't wait!!![/QUOTE]

I know!! I am SOOO excited!! :cool1::banana::woohoo::yay:

I know I was just in DL in April but this past summer was the first summer in like 5 years that I haven't been to DL I figured out so I was going through MAJOR withdrawls. Eventhough I was there in April it was SO weird NOT to have gone during the summertime. So I really missed it and I am SO glad to be going back during Halloweentime. I just LOVE the park all decked out for Halloween! Plus it is going to be SO much more fun to be there with all my diva friends! I think the Trick or Treat Party is going to be even MORE fun with us all in costume and being there together!!!

I am just so excited about the whole thing! Plus I am SO ready for some DISNEY! The girls enjoyed DC but I have to admit they are Disney aholics like me and whenever they see anything Disney or something reminds them of that they say how much they miss it. Boy are they spoiled LOL. I think we go WAY too much! :rolleyes1

Rescuing us from the obscurity of Page 2 to say Happy Holiday Weekend to all the DisDivas out there! Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable holiday. Our trip countdowns are getting shorter and shorter! :cool1:

I always laugh when I see the picture of you and your husband with the Mickey ears--that pic was the first I had ever seen of that "view"--and i was so thrilled when a CM did it for me too (without me knowing!) and now it's gone . . . . .

That photo is really special to us. We had never seen the "view" either and didn't preview our photos at Disney. When we got home and looked at our Photopass pics, we laughed and laughed. The photographer that took it was really great, too. Every time we go, we try to find him so he can take our picture. I'm sad that the Mickey head is gone, but for me part of the magic of Disneyland is all the things that remain just like they were when I was a kid combined with the excitement of the things that are always being reinvented. I can hardly wait to get there!

I agree Mouse! I love new stuff and I think that they always need new things to make it exciting BUT I like nostalgia as well and I think a lot of us are creatures of habit and we feel comfort in the "familiar". It is a big part of what brings back those fond memories is seeing what we saw before and remembering it from back in the day. I really miss some of the stuff that is gone but I know unfortunately that things must change. I am just glad that at least some of the classics are still there and hopefully will ALWAYS be! :)

Sad... because it's so cute.

I'm gettin' in that Halloween mood!

me too! I now have 2/3 of a costume!

Me three! Diana bought my dad some peanut M&M's today and they are black, orange, purple and lime green. I'm excited for Halloween because I get to decorate my dorm or at least I hope so because I'm not sure how my roommates feel about Halloween. Usually as Christians we don't celebrate Halloween because it's a pagan holiday but it's mostly not celebrated so that the little ones don't get confused, ya know? Ever since we became Christians we didn't celebrate Halloween but went to church carnivals which were just as fun. We were able to dress up (nothing scary), got candy and I didn't even have to walk anywhere:lmao: I won't go trick or treating unless my friends go (I'd feel rather silly:laughing: ) but I will definitely be having a fun time with decorations, treats and Hocus Pocus!

Who knows maybe my dorm building will have a Halloween party or event.

I have 0/3 costume :sad2:
I think I'll be stopping at the Halloween warehouse off the 5 near Buena Park on my way home Tuesday. Still thinking about being Rosie the Riveter because I'll be so comfy :thumbsup2

I love your costume idea! It sounds cute and comfy. I hope you get to enjoy some type of Halloween event at your dorm. I work at a college and every year the dorm students decorate their doors, halls, and common areas and the children of students, faculty, and staff go around and trick or treat at each dorm door. It is a really fun event. All the kids end up back at the student union for hot chocolate and cookies. It always seems like the college students have just as much fun as the kiddos.

Just bumping y'all up from the bottom of the page to say:

I wanna go in October!!! I think I'd even prefer to go then over the main Feb. trip for two reasons:

1. Fantasmic will be showing with Murphy as the new star.

2. The Rivers of America won't be drained.

And even more importantly it's only a few weeks away and I miss DLR!!!

Whhhhhaaaaaa! :sad::sad::sad::sad:

Ok, temper tantrum over. Nothing more to see here . . . carry on. :rolleyes1

Okay, I might have missed this so I'll ask. Is anyone going to get the Fantasmic tickets for our group or are we all getting our own? We can get them on September 24, right?
