*UPDATED* DISDivas & Family October Mini Meet *UPDATED* (3.0 Version!)

Thanks, Callie. I'll check those out.

4:30, which I am kind of nervous about, traffic-wise.

I just need to pack and get thru work Mon-Wed, and I'm off to the land!!!!

Oh darn...I was hoping it was earlier and I may have been able to pick you up and take you to your hotel. Sorry!

Hi everybody--Donna, AmySue, my friend Brandy and I survived the Shinteki challenge today--we even scored enough points to garner a bronze medal! whoo hoo--of course, we don't actually GET a medal, but still. We were pretty jazzed. The quests were VERY hard--much harder (at least I thought) than MouseAdventure. But we had a great time (despite the heat) and the Shinteki people were great! We probably didn't finish even 20% of them and felt lucky to have done what we did--but I think everything we attempted we got right--plus we got some extra points along the way. (they were really nice people running this thing).
Glad you had fun :)

Happy packing and safe travels to everybody!

I def like the later time cuz like I said we are at Rainforest at 5 and then we have to go back to our room at DLH to change so we need time to eat, get changed and get all the way back down there. So later is good with us! :)

We are at Hojo and are planning to get dinner before the party although I don't know exactly where yet. It will likely be Mimi's so that we can get dinner and then go back to the room and change afterwards.

That's a good idea - keep the costume clean for as long as possible :thumbsup2 It's a nice break too because it's going to be a long day! I am so ready for a fun break! Can't wait :yay:........ except I still have to prod Jesse into packing. I told him that if he doesn't get it done tonight, I am packing for him and it will be all Mickey, all the time :rolleyes1:lmao: Right now he is refusing to wear any of the two million Mickey/Disneyland t-shirts that he owns, some of which he just HAD to have :sad2: Dern kid!

Thanks so much! Luckily, the most fabulous Cristabel offered to be our driver for the day!

I'm not packed yet, and I have to work all day tomorrow, and I'm getting picked up from my job on Wednesday and going straight to the airport. Can you say procrastinate?

Hi! Just wanted to update you on the Wally Boag Meet and Greet :goodvibes.

Mary Jo is driving dd and me over to the Boag house on Friday after the luncheon at Storyteller's. She will be returning to the resort and said she has space for 5 people in her car, which leaves 2 slots. So far I've heard from 4 people who are interested in going. I don't know if anyone else has transportation and is interested, but if so we could carpool and you would still be able to get back to the resort for the Halloween party.

Laurence said it's fine to bring cameras. His dad would be happy to have his picture taken with us. If you have a copy of his book, he'll sign it for you and if you don't but want one, Laurence said they have some copies at the house. You can PM me for more information.

Please pray for my grandpa!
He's heading into surgery at 6pm. They are putting in the pacemaker after all.
The doctor said the surgery isn't as severe as the last one because they will be attaching the pacemaker adjacent to the heart but not actually in it. But surgery is surgery so we're all still a bit worried. I have faith that everything will go successfully but extra prayers never hurt!

Thanks girls, you are a great bunch of friends!

You got it!

So unless someone else picks a time, I'm going to pick the time, so we have somethin to go with. Then we can deliberate!! How's that?

For the Meet and Greet-6:45pm in the farthest line to the left facing DCA. Nearest the Guest Relations side. That way there is room to take a pic, and for family members to save spots in the line if needed.

For the Plaza Inn- 6:30pm. I know that sounds early, but at the moment I'm a little scared if we don't get there that early, then we are screwed for spots. I have positively no idea how the Plaza Inn works? In order to sit at their tables over toward Tomorrowland, do you need to eat there? I mean...is it free reign for anyone who wants to sit there? Or are they strict about seating only those who eat there? That would be helpful to know.

What say you?

I'm going to meet up with my family first and then I'll see if I can make it for the photo. And are you saying the line closest to the bus drop off?

I think anyone can sit outside at the Plaza Inn. You seat yourself there anyways. I have never seen anyone patrolling the outside seats.

Yes the line closest to the bus drop off on Harbor Blvd.

That's why I suggested this line. Tell your family to meet you in that line, and then you can sneak away for a picture, and hopefully they will still be able to see you taking the pics.

OK Cristabel. Please keep us posted.

I'm not doing the Halloween party, but 6:30 at the Plaza sounds good. I think we'll just have to start grabbing tables as people leave, because it will be dinner time and probably crowded. And we've sat before and waited for FW, and nobody ever said anything.

Both Jane and I had suggested 7:00 or 7:15, but no one has replied.

For Jesse and me, 6:45 is too early as we are booked for dinner at 6:00 p.m. and won't be able to make it quite that early (nor do we want to be standing in line for that long). If everyone else decides at that time, that's fine - we'll skip the picture then.

For the Plaza Inn - 6:30 sounds good to me :thumbsup2 I'm not sure how strict they are about the outdoor seating - never done it)

Ok...sorry I missed that. How about betwen 7:00 and 7:15? I heard that they will start letting people through the gates at 7:15, and then that could be crazy stampede time!

Where are your ressies at?

6:30 pm at the Plaza Inn is good for me.:thumbsup2

For the group photo, I am thinking more like 7:00-7:15 as well. We got there right after 7:30 last time and only had to wait about 10 minutes to get in. Those who were early waited much longer. Of course, they got in first and had first dibs of what to hit! Anyway, count me as a vote for later.

I vote for 7 p.m. for the ToT party. You know Divas--we're all not going to get there on time. That will give us a little "fudge factor" time.

As for the Plaza--6:30 sounds good to me. I am even afraid that may be too late as well--we saw people at 5:30 on Saturday camped out over by IASW!!! HOWEVER, ahem, I think i have to be in line for Fantasmic at 7, so probably won't make it over there until after that. And then need to leave by 8:30 to make it back over to the Fantasmic seating area.

Is anyone else bringing/wearing their Diva Tink t-shirt this weekend? Or the brown one from the first year?
