*UPDATED* DISDivas & Family October Mini Meet *UPDATED* (3.0 Version!)

Hi Deb!!

The best place to see the fireworks in smack dab in front of the Castle without any trees blocking your view. The next best is to the right of the castle towards Tomorrowland without any trees in the way.

We are going to try and nab some seats and eat at the Plaza Inn, so we have good spots to sit.

Now to park hoppers. Hmm? I'm going to get Kaitlyn's at Costco. They are brand new to Costco this year, and only good for So Cal residents. They are 4 day hoppers that are good all year long. Not sure yet how much of a stickler they will be on bringing guests in. If they do let guests accompany me, then I would be more than happy to get you some of these tickets. The cost is $159.00. They also are upgradable, but not sure if you have to live in So Cal to do that too? Hopefully as time gets closer, we will know more about this stuff. There is a huge discussion over on Mouseplanet about this Costco subject!

Thanks Mel.
I saw the park hoppers online at Costco.

I found them online here.
I just checked out the link to Costco. It still has the deal about being a So Cal resident.

Anywhos, as soon as it is more clear on if guests are allowed, I'd be more than happy to buy some for anyone.

So for you DL ladies..........how soon do you think we need to grab spots at the Plaza Inn for firework seats??? Do you think theyn will allow us to sit for awhile? Gee.............I have something to admit............I've never eaten there. :guilty: Only been to a birthday party thing there.

So what say you? :confused3

I just got back from lunch with my mom and we were talking about this trip.. it's going to be so much fun!!! She made me so excitted.:yay: We will have a good time, girlie girls!

Thanks for making this so much fun to share in the planning of.

I agree with you 100% Dawn!
I cannot wait to see your mom again, too. I am glad she is looking forward to it as it is her birthday and all.;)

I've also only been there for the birthday party, but I'm looking forward to meeting everyone there, eating yummy fried chicken and seeing the fireworks! My 14 y.o. DS will be with me, and I figured I could wait along with some other Divas while my DS went on rides. Since I don't have any little ones, I thought it might be easier for others in my same situation to be able to stake out a table so that those with young kids won't have to do that. I'm sure my DS, Connor, would love to go on some rides, etc. with some other kids his age while I helped to hold a table. Just a thought......

Well I can wait with you too. My DD of almost 16 will be with me, so maybe she can do some rides too. :thumbsup2

Hi Linda!

Dawn, I ditto everything that Linda just said! :goodvibes

Sounds great. I injured my back this month so I won't be going on any of the rougher rides due to that. My DS could go on BTMRR a million times and still want to ride it again, but I'll be avoiding that one, so this will give him a chance do to that while I am waiting at a table.

I'll help with the table holding.

I convinced Allyson to get into the costume theme a little bit, I just ordered 2 of the Sesame Street t-shirts like Theresa's, but different characters. Sometimes she's just too much like I was at that age!!! But Mom, I don't WANT to wear that!!! But we're good, for now. As long as she doesn't change her mind between now and then :)

Want to get more excited? Watch the fireworks video from asianbma's thread. They are really good!!!

I decided not to do the Fantasmic seating too. My older 2 kids decided they wanted to do it & I can't afford the 3 of us right now. We are just going to stack out some spots on Friday night instead.

I don't mind helping save spots at Plaza Inn for the fireworks :thumbsup2.

Geesh.................we were lost at the bottom of page 2!!

So it looks like we have a nice group of seat savers!! If we have enough, I guess we can take turns to do rides too. :thumbsup2 Me? I will probably relish the ideal of sitting down for a spell! :rolleyes1

Wow! We leave in just 20 days and I'm so excited. Honestly, I've become kind of paranoid about preventing us from getting the swine flu before our trip. I would just hate for us to get all ready to leave and have someone become sick. It seems like folks are coming down with it all around us. Hope all of the DisDivas and their families make it to the DLR healthy and ready to have a great time! Plus, I watched the youtube video of the Halloween fireworks today and they were incredible!!! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to see them in person in just a few more days!!! :cool1:

Now, now there will be none of this talk about swine flu. We are all going to be giddy and happy skipping along Main Street! Ok, maybe not that silly, but we're gonna have fun.:wizard: You arrive a few days ahead of the group, right?

Yes, we'll be there from Saturday to Saturday. I'm really looking forward to Miss Sally's birthday party and the trick or treat party. I'm trying not to think about the flu, but I can't help thinking about my vacation and how much I want/need to be giddy and silly and happily skipping along Main Street so I just find myself really trying to avoid "the flu" or anything else that might spoil my much deserved dose of Pixie Dust! The ironic thing is that I work at a college but am located in an area that is very isolated from students. I was actually feeling pretty safe until our first case of the swine flu a couple of weeks ago. It turned out to be the mail boy. He came to my area and every other area every day, Monday through Friday without fail. The good news is that no one else has come down with the virus. I'm just so excited about the trip that I don't want anything to go wrong. I have no doubt that we'll be there with bells on! Thanks for your positive thoughts, Lulubelle! I am counting the days!:yay:

Hi!
I went to Disneyland on Friday, the first day of Halloweentime. It was crowded and blazingly hot! I really enjoyed myself, though. I took advantage of FP and single rider lines. I was so preoccupied with Disneyland, I never made it over to DCA. I got my fastpass at 10:18am and I couldn't use it until 3:05pm! So, get your fp for Ghost Galaxy (aka Space Mt) early in the day or you will have to wait in line for over an hour!

I just found out that my uncle and his family have APs, too! I'm joining them next Wednesday at DL to celebrate my cousin's, Geneva, 10th birthday. She's really excited to use her fun card. My aunt says the past few times they have gone Geneva has been window shopping to see what she'll get on her birthday.

My mom, dad, Anais, Diana and Tyrae are all coming to the Trick or Treat Party! :woohoo: My dad is going to call me this week with the payment details. I might just buy them with my CC and he'll pay me back.

I'm off to study some more for my accounting and music exams.
Have a tiggerific night!:thumbsup2
