Updated Chart: Discount Codes verses Free Dining -- Updated 3/22/08

There always the Disney Dining Experience card. Passholders can buy them at $60 for the year. If you don't plan on eating at the more expensive TS, 20% off and 40% off the room rate is another option.

We've used the dining plan the last 3 or 4 times. While I loved it, it was too much food for me. I did like the convenience of everything paid for when we arrived. :)

My problem with my ddp is that everyone in my clan is a 'disney adult', but several of us (4 or 5 of 11) would probably prefer to eat off of the kids menu or skip dinner for a CS. If they did this, are the DP credits useable in a sort of 'transferable' way? For example if some skip out and others go to asignature mrestaurant can we use their credits?
Sure. You can use the credits on your key card in any combination. You may have a problem in keeping things straight between 3-4 rooms, though. Each room gets it's own allotment and you can't transfer between rooms.

And what if a friend joins us for dinner not on the DP, can we use our credits for them?
You are not supposed to, but there is no way for the CM to know if that your friend is not staying with you.
