Alright, after Donnie's success of getting 10 campsites filled for Memorial Day weekend, and getting a great rate with group reservations, I'd like to try to get a Group Rate for October. Rhonda has also agreed to help!!

PROS
Better rate than most general discounts
Better guarantee of being in the same loop
You can book extra days before and after
You can book a portion of the dates

CONS
We must agree on a level of site - probably full hookup pet
We must have enough to fill 10 campsites for the core dates

After looking at the October GG signup thread, I "think" we have enough to fill 10 campsites for these dates:

10/24 through 11/1

So I know everyone has already chimed in for the Grand Gathering, but please chime in again, if you'd be willing to change your reservation to a full hookup pet if we get the group reservation!! Also, please put in your dates!!!

Carol, I looked up my reservation: I booked 10/24 thru 11/3 full hookup and the rate is $57 for all nights. I don't know how I got that, since all the nights are the same rate. I thought they were charging more for the weekends all year long. Guess I'm wrong.

OK, got an email from Dina at Group Reservations:

We can get at a group rate October 24 - October 30

Full Hookup - $38.00 Plus Tax
Preferred - $46 Plus Tax

We can get at a group rate October 24 - November 1st
Premium - $58.00 Plus Tax (which is less than rack rate of a Full)

Please chime in!!!!!

Remember you can book a portion of those dates if we have enough!!!!!

If the 24th is your last night, I'm sure you can book the days ahead at that rate also!!

I work for the school system and I also have the 2nd week off (I guess that the 5th - 9th is considered the 2nd week) and we have a full hookup booked for the 3rd - 8th. Maybe there will be another group going that week. The embarrassing part about this is that we still haven't bought our RV yet, but I know that we will have something by then, so I went ahead and booked it.

I don't know about any one else, I would do it if you book full (which I prefer), since I have that booked @ $57 per night. But I would go along with any of the others. Right now I have 10 days booked, not sure if we can stay the whole time. Do you know what the cancellation policy is with a group discount? If I book 10 or 11 days and have to cancel some days, can I?

Hi guys, did you miss me????


My laptop is still in repair limbo, and I hate sitting at this one, so I have been a bum lately.

I will chime in on this, if we go (and right now, it is a BIG if) we will be there the 12-25th and we would want a prem, (it is just easier for me to walk with more space around camper).

But due to many many many uncertainties in our lives right now, like health and family situations, we are probably not going to be there in Oct. It all depends on how a few things with my Dad work out as well as with my operation. I will keep you updated, and keep your fingers crossed for us, and my damn laptop, I sure miss that thing.

We are planning on going 10/25 - 11/07 - right now we have the - Tent/Pop-Up Campsite for 43.00 a night - Im not opposed to upgrading or adding the 24th if it gets cheaper. you can put a tent anywhere no?
