The BBQ looked great. I wanted to attend, but being during the week I couldn't get over to Orlando. Sounds like you had a great time. And I'm confused by the Duck not being able to swim.:confused3

And those jello shots are to die for. I need to try to make them.

Day 4 – Pete’s last day

We tried our best to get up really early this day as it was Pete’s last day but once again, wasn’t happening. Duck texted us and we told her to head our way with her swim stuff and we would decide what we were doing. Really Pecan was too tired to move and this would buy us some time as she made her way over and of course catch up on our judge shows…I think this morning we were watching divorce court. This couple was crazy…judge asked him if it was love at first sight and he said “yeah…for the first 30 days!” They were sad! Anyway, we forgot to remind Duck about the buses from DTD to POFQ. This one stops at riverside first so it was going to be a long trip for her. Bad for the duck but good for us…more time to be lazy. A little while later we got her first text that said she was approaching Timbuktu (aka one of the depots at riverside) so we started to get a move on getting ready. A little while later, another text from duck this time stating she was in Abu Dabi (code name for another depot)…..She was starting to get annoyed but finally made it over to us and we were out of the room and ready to meet her. We decided against swimming and thought we would just spend the day at the parks as we hadn’t done much riding thus far. Couldn’t believe it was already 11:30 and Pete said he needed to eat so we stopped at the food court. Duck and I just grabbed beverages and we watched him eat while we made a plan for the day and if you have been paying attention, we don’t ever stick to the plan though we try. We could only think as far as our first park so we decided to head to Epcot.

We hopped the bus to Epcot and headed for test track. Line was a little long but not unbearable and we always have fun talking and laughing all the way to the front.

Here is where things got interesting. That was the only plan we made but I can honestly say that we stuck to it. After that, no real plans and we decided it would be a lot more fun going where the wind blew. So that’s what we did the rest of the day……okay…so hang in there and hold on…this is going to be a twisting and bumpy ride. We left Epcot and since we hadn’t yet been on the monorail, decided to ride it to the TTC.

After arriving at the TTC, we decided to hop the ferryboat since again, not yet done this trip.

We got off at MKG and were on our way to the gates but couldn’t really decide what we wanted to ride but knew we wanted to be there at night for wishes. Duck and I were started to get hungry at this point. I told them I could really go for some buffalo wings, nachos and a cosmopolitan so duck suggested ESPN club. Yes I know, it is right outside of the international gateway at Epcot where we just left but who is keeping track! So we headed over to the boardwalk bus stop. While waiting in line for the bus, duck said…”hey…you ever have the flat breads at contemporary?” I hadn’t; in fact never been in the contemporary just through it on the monorail. Pete chimed in with “did somebody mention flat breads?” So you guess what Pecantz did. Yep…got out of line and walked over to the Contemporary.

I was really excited to finally see inside. I never really thought of staying at the contemporary before but after visiting it, I can’t wait to stay there some day.

The food court was small but efficient. I love the electronic ordering.

I guess it was the excitement of being there and enjoying the resort but I offered to buy us all lunch. We decided to share the beef & goat cheese flat bread, the cheese flat bread, and this awesome, humongous cupcake that I can’t remember the name of but it was filled with cream and caramel…..YUM!

Of course, more sugary goodness to wash it all down. Everything was soooooooo good! We were thoroughly pleased with our choice to head over here.

IMG_1385.jpg

We sat there for a while just soaking in the ambiance and bull sh….ing about nothing really. We finally decided to motivate and they offered to take me on a tour of the resort. I loved all the little pockets of the resort where you could go with a book and get lost! We checked out the pool areas and the dock and pretty much just goofed around.

I don’t know why but this is when I realized that duck was in almost all of my photos…….hey camera hog…get your own…this is my vacation! None of us had seen BLT yet so we headed over and walked in with a couple of cast members. The resort is really nice…..gotta love that new clean smell!

sorry you couldn't make it also....but she did only have 1/2 an orange left and we fought over those! i tried making them but failed miserably...have to try again!

This has started out to be a fun day. Sounds like the day I had with the Duck just a few days before this. Was suppose to meet at 50's Primetime and ended up at The Seasons in Epcot, and then left for grocery store and SSR. Winging it is the best way to go!:thumbsup2

Ok, I have plans to go check out Christmas decorations at the monorail resorts in a couple of weeks. I want to find that Mickey sitting on the Mickey ears, I love that!

:lmao: about the trash. I have never seen a sign for trash before at WDW.

OMG I LOVE the pic by the room numbers sign - the one that says TRASH!!! If that's in BLT I want a pic by that!!!!!

Looks like I'm a little late to your trippie but I loved it! You can't help but have a blast with "Duck"!!!
