I cancelled my 7 for 5 package today and booked AZZ. I'm not really going to save any money by changing-- in fact, if I got a UPH I'd be paying more, but I don't think we'll need a UPH, more like a 6 or 7 day park hopper. But there is still a chance that due to some external situations with our business, this trip might have to be cancelled. The package balance was due August 4 and we don't find out until August 15 whether we have to cancel! So obviously it is much better for us to book at the room only rate with the more favorable policies. Oh well, I didn't want the darn lanyards anyway :p (I'm lying, actually I did!)

To the point. I made my new room deposit and asked when my package deposit $200 would be refunded. She said 2-3 billing cycles. That's kind of excessive, right? I said, gee, I can live without the 200 but doesn't that seem like kind of a long time to keep my money? She said it might not actually be that long, but that's what they tell everyone just to stop them from calling every day for the refund.

So how long is it really? I seem to remember when I booked a room-only ressie and made a deposit with a check a few years ago, my return check came with a week or two. Is it different for credit cards? Anyone have any experience with this and know when I can expect my refund?

I have never booked a package, but with respect to refunds from roomo-only deposits, the last one took about 4-6 days (it was two days after another charge that I made at the same time showed up).

I am waiting on another refund right now, and it's been 7 days, so it seems pretty iffy-- I do agree that 2-3 billing cycles seems like a really LONG time! I think they should be able to issue a refund in the same amount of time they can charge your card!

I cancelled a AAA room only package once and it was credited to my card within a couple days. They can charge a deposit pretty fast, they should also be able to credit it fast too!

I cancled my 7 for 5 also at the CBR and booked the AkL way excited about this we figured with the passes we will only be spending an extra 200.00 and it is way worth it because we will have days left 3 or so. But I will let you know when I get my refund she said nothing about 2-3 billing cycles. KELLY

I've never waited more than about 10 days, and we've had to cancel ressies more than a few times. They are really good about getting it back to you. I don't think the 2-3 billing cycle comment was accurate. I would keep watching for it. You should have it within 2 weeks for sure.

I cancelled a package reservation once to rebook a room only code. It took about a total of 10 days to credit my cards. They credited them in the order I made the payments (i.e..$200 on one date, $100 on another date, etc.).

IME I've never had any type of credit (Disney or not) take longer than a couple of weeks.

My $200.00 was refunded Thursday, just three days later. Definitely not 2-3 billing cycles!

Hi. I just canceled our package and got the credit within a few days. But I have also canceled other things with Disney, like the sunrise safari and that Did take a billing cycle or two to get the credit to my card. I think they say the 2to3 cycles to cover themselves just in case it does take that long. It is easy to credit when the software is linked to the banking software. If the software isn't linked, it's the whole old fashioned route to get the credit. It shouldn't take more than one billing cylce.

I had a Disney Visa package booked for May and had to cancel it. My visa was credited for the deposit in about 10 days. Seems like I remember CRO telling me that it may take up to two billling cycles for the credit to post to my account.
