Update - VIP codes not fixed - sorry

A friend of mine went to Disneyland for me and did the quests. She mailed me the cards (I don't have them yet), but she emailed me two codes as a teaser without telling me what they were.

They were both for VIP badges which I already have! I wasted both codes. I feel so stupid, but there really isn't anything I can do about it now. I can't complain to my friend, because she doesn't play, so wouldn't have known that she should have told me what they were for.

I want to whine to my Dis friends! :sad: :sad: :sad:

Well, I sent a letter in to the black hole to see if they could be reactivated or replaced. I will update if I actually hear anything.

I will be logging in now, so will look for you or BrerMule.
 

OK, I got email this morning from VMK that my unspecified bug "has been fixed".

I am assuming that this is the VIP codes, but am not certain. I would like to trade these codes, however due to the circumstances I would have to give you the code first. (because I am not 100% certain that it works) Unfortunately this means that you would have to be someone I at least have a casual acquaintance with on the board.

Please either PM me with an offer for a code, or post below. (As always, costumes and pins are more interesting to me than furniture. Also - disclaimer - the "best" offer may not win)
 
Sorry about the confusion. I looked closer at my email from VMK and realized they were responding to a problem I sent in over a month ago.

If the codes are reactivated at a later date, I now have two people to give them to. Again, sorry for wasting bandwidth with my off again, on again, off again saga. :blush: :blush:

I did almost the same exact thing! I wasted a VIP code on pixiepal (she already had one) because I was told it was the "new style" pin code. Well, I did not get the new pin, and I ended up wasting the code I could have traded!
I also sent VMK a message asking them to reactivate the code....that was a month ago. I have heard nothing from them. :guilty:

Just out of curiousity, have you tried the code since then? Wondering if they may have fixed it but not informed you.
 
No, I haven't. If they've fixed it, and I try it again, I will waste it again! LOL
But, you probably meant try it with another person. Everyone I know has one! Anybody want to be a guinea pig? :rotfl2:
 
I SWEAR! I have given up on VMK customer service (if they can even CALL it that). I don't even think they READ the emails we send them!
So, I FINALLY get a response about the VIP code I used (long story short, I already had the VIP button, but was told I was getting the "new style" VIP pin, so I used the code...only to find no pin in my inventory, so I had wasted the VIP code I could have traded). I sent VMK ALL THIS INFO, and asked if they could reactivate the code, as I already had the button!!! And this is the response I get...

THEY DIDN'T EVEN READ THE EMAIL!! I know I had the button already....I received nothing for using the code, because I already had the button! Gosh, the people who work customer service must be sleep-walking, because seriously, do they EVER read what people send them, or just send a form-reply????

It might be beating a dead horse, but you could always reply to their email and tell them that they didn't answer your question.
 
I know they don't read the e-mails. I have sent them several concerning something else (my daughter's forever ban) and I keep getting generic responses back. I've tried 3 different times to get details or some response other than blah blah blah from them!

When I did that I got the "your ticket has been closed" response. I hate that! I get that even when a cast member, in response to my message, ASKS me for more information! How can I give you more info if you close the ticket! Then I have to start at square one again, with (most likely) a new cast member. Jeez...I know this game is free, but COME ON.
