update pg.5-9/8: My TR- Tshirts, books, birthdays and a Tropical Storm: Oh, my!

Hi, everyone! Welcome to my Trip Report, which is meant as a to all the great DISigners who helped make our trip so special (and have become my friends as well!) I didn't get pics posted of our DISigns before we left and as the trip went on, I started thinking I would do a TR to share our great stories.

This is my 1st TR, but definitely not our 1st trip to Disney. I hope I keep you entertained.

Me- I am "mac", "heath" or Heather. Answer to them all! I am a Disney Freak since birth (well, my 1st trip was at age 6 months) and OCDP (Obsessive Commando Disney Planner ) Some of you may know me as "She who stalks your Photobucket account" I don't know how I found my way to the Creative DISign board, but it was addiction at 1st sight!

How many time have you asked the DH something and it was completely ignored? Mine went like this:

"Honey, I just found airfare to MCO for $140 round trip per person!" (talking to a brick wall)
Next day, "Hun, since you just came in from shoveling 16 inches of snow, wouldn't it be nice to dream of Florida for vacation this year?" (funny, I didn't know my voice sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher)
Following day, "OMG! We just got a Pin Code in the mail from WDW! X% off".
Nope, nothing....it's time to pull out the big guns!

I park DS and DD in front of Disney on Demand to watch as many episodes as possible. A few well placed lines- "DS, remember how much you loved Test Track?" "DD, how fun was that when we ate in the Castle with the Princesses?" And when Daddy got home from work, we were waiting! DD climbs up on Daddy's lap and takes his face between her hands. With her "Cindy Brady lisp" and dark brown eyes looking into his, she says, "Please, Daddy. I want to eat wif the Printheth!" Yes! She shoots, She scores, She's going to Disney World!

So, as I call Disney to make arrangements, I find out that one of the available times to go would be during DS's 8th Birthday! WOW! A Disney Birthday! He's not buying it though. He doesn't want to miss his friends or his mammas and paps on his birthday. Well, I can't take the friends along, but we invite the families to come along. A Grand Gathering is born.

In the end, it turns out that only DH's brother and his family decide to come along with us. We will meet MIL and FIL in Florida. This makes the birthday boy happy, since his cousin is his best friend.

So, everything is set- 6 days/ 5 nights. DS was allowed to choose our resort and WL is his pick

DSIL and I start talking about making Tshirts for everyone. We spend days (& nights) scrolling through threads looking at DISigns. Along the way, we find Autograph pages, Tip and Mousekeeping Envelopes, and Passport Books. Then we decide to sew some outfits for the girls and make hair bows to match! Wow, I'm going to need a vacation from this vacation...

Did we get everything done? Was "No T shirt Left Behind"? Next time, I'll start with Day One- "Life Is Good".

Kari! I'm so glad your here. You helped start me on this addiction, it's only fitting that you are along for the ride- LOL. Yes, by now I do know how to "work" the DH. See why I like your villians DISigns. I'm so bad.... My SIL is not posting on here that I know of. She was lurking before our trip.

I'm so happy everyone is here and is posting! My greatest fear was that I would post/write my TR and no one would come. Thanks everyone for your encouragement. If you are lurking- welcome aboard as well! We are all here and we have snacks!!! Come on and post!
BTW- probably won't get next installment up until tomorrow. DH is out working in the yard. He just peeked in and found me DISing. hhhmmm, not very happy with me LOL talk more later!

adisneymama has her own TR and I have been reading it. It turns out we were at WDW at the same time and in the same parks on the same days! We keep trying to figure out if we ran into each other at some point!

I wonder if we did! I didn't have my LGMH this time, but we did wear matching DISigns for most of the trip. I can't wait to see your pictures and see if I spotted you at all.
