Not my usual thing, asking for prayers, but tomorrow is an important day. My sister (39) had a really bad kidney infection last week. They did a CT scan on her and found that her kidney was enlarged. Not really the problem though, they inadvertently also found a mass on her lung.
On thursday she went in for a lung CT and she called and called the doctor for her results friday and then today. Finally the PCPs office called her back and said the doctor wants her to come in before they start seeing patients tomorrow to discuss the results. She (and all of the family) are a bit freaked out and worried. She lives in Myrtle Beach and we are all in Pittsburgh. I feel really helpless. I will be flying down when I find out how I can be the best help to her and her kids(17 and 12), should she need me. She was also recently divorced in Nov. So, things haven't been really that great for her for a long time.
Another thing....she never smoked cigarettes or lived with a smoker. All I can think of is that she is so lucky she had the kidney infection. We would have never known...
Out of 5 kids, she and I are the closest, she is like my right arm....
So, if anyone has any extra time this evening or tomorrow morning...say a little prayer for Lori...thanks, I'll let you all know what they say after I talk to her in the am.
