update Paradise bay start filling /almost full! Update 11/28 pics onpage 5

They keep saying "it'll be filled in 3 days" but it has yet to see an inch of water :( I leave tonight so I don't think there will be water in it tomorrow

I wonder why they keep saying it's going to be filled in blaablaa amount of days then it keeps getting held off. Don't they know we are all holding our breath waiting for the darn water? :lmao: don't they care? I would rather they just shoosh up till they are ready and stop getting my hopes up! :worship:
Seriously I hope it's filled by holidaytime :goodvibes

we will be there in late January. That's cool cause we are doing the Segway Tour! The downside?

Rivers of America will be gone. Oh well, makes for less crowds possibly? :goodvibes I can't wait... soon enough I will be doing the single digit dance.

:yay::cool1::woohoo:

I was there once when Rivers of America was dry. True, it isn't as pretty, but it is also true that Disneyland was empty! It was get right on every single attraction. :woohoo: That was back in October 1999 I think. I bet in January, the slowest month of the year and no River, it is going to be very, very uncrowded. And at least you'll be able to see Paradise Bay! It does kinda suck when ROA is drained, but there is no denying how fun it is to just hop right on anything and everything. You'll have a good time! :goodvibes

last I read over on Mouseplanet....this week. Water is up to the bottom of the platform that houses/holds all the water jets and fountains.
Still no water covering the water jets etc.

Any idea on what is happening with this? I heard somewhere that there was still some work going on, and not sure if that means the refilling has been halted or not?

When we were there 2 weeks ago they had the water filled up to the platform where the water jets are. There were workers out every day adjusting stuff and sometimes we would see some of the stuff moving. I only know this because I got to watch what they were doing from Mickey's Fun Wheel of Death with my 5 year old about 5 different times! :lmao:

Sorry, I don't have any more current info. But there were ducks in the water over by the pier eating area.

Since then, the water level has been lowered a little bit and work is still going on on the platform (they're testing the LED's on the fountains). Also the park/seating area is starting to come together. Concrete has been poured in some places and a giant tower structure has gone up with some palm trees. There's a nice recent update over on Westcoaster:

It definatley looks better at night! You can still see all of the mechanics but the water covers most of the concrete.
