Hi all. Well I called OKW and they told me buses would not be running early enough for my ADR at Tusker House at 8:10 a.m. So, I called Group dining and they told me that my reservation was at 8:25 a.m. and that buses started running at 8:00 a.m. and as long as I was on the first bus I would be ok. That still seems tight but I am breathing again lol. It is tough being the sole planner for a group of 13! Thanks again for your help! Lynn

Post this over on the transportation board b/c there use to be at least one wdw bus driver over there that answered this type of question. They can answer this better then resort or call center poeple. Or on the first day ask one of the bus drivers about this.

We've been told by resort people that we would never make an adr that early and we've always made them. When ever we've gotten to the bus stop that early usually there a transportation CM at the bus stop asking about where we were going etc. We usually get to the bus stop at 740-745 to wait. Also when you get to the park there is a special entry place for pre-park opening adrs.

There is a character meal bus that goes around REALLY EARLY - like 6:45 early. A lot of cast members don't know about it even but maybe call the front/concierge desk at a different resort to double check.

We had 8-something am reservations at Chef Mickeys once and took it - we were there over an hour early, but we were able to be seated immediately - which was good because it ended up taking longer than we thought.

Another option would be to take a cab. If there are none staged at your resort, bell services can usually summon one for you in just a few minutes.

Oh no! This is starting to scare me. We have 8 am ressies at 1900 park fare and I am now starting to worry we won't be able to make it if the buses won't be running till then. We may just take a cab.

Are they having EMH mornings anywhere? If so you should be fine getting a bus to the park and then to the Grand Floridian.

That sounds tight to me too. If the buses start running at 8, does that mean there will be a bus leaving your resort exactly at 8:confused3 ? Hope it all works out ok!

There is supposed to be early busses running specifically to get you to pre-park opening character meals. Our first trip, stayed at POR, had an 8:00 or 8:10 at Restaurantasaurus (pre-Tusker House bkfst days) and caught a bus at 7/7:15 ish at the resort and made breakfast no problem. Second trip at CBR, had an 8:00 at Restaurantasaurus - resort bus was late, we didn't get picked up until 7:40ish and went to water park first. We didn't get to AK until 8:15, but when we explained what had happened, we were seated in minutes.
Long story short, those early busses should be out there. I would definitely go to the main bus stop closest to the "lobby" in case you have trouble.

Yeah, what Em&Bec'sMom said! There really ARE buses from each resort to each park that has dining reservations or tours which start before the park opens, that will get you there in time.

Going to AK from Pop last year, I was at the bus stop by 7:15 and easily got to Animal Kingdom earlier than the 8 AM I had to be there (for a tour).

There are definitely buses running by 7am for breakfasts. We have never had any trouble getting to 8 am breakfasts. We usually try and get to the bus stop by 7:15.

How many are there in your party? If you are worried about making your ADR, a cab wouldn't be that much. I know I had to make an ADR at Boma from All Star Sports last year and I knew the buses wouldn't work out, so I just took a cab and if I remember correctly it was only $10 with tip. I'm pretty sure they have cabs standing by starting very early in the morning. I'm not sure what kind of bell services they have at OKW, but they were very helpful at ASSp.
