Just thought I'd let you know that I have today received a letter from Barclaycard saying that they ARE liable to cover me for the payments made to Themeparkland!!!

Thats a funny change-round isnt it? Especially as they told me that "we do not cover attraction tickets" when I first phoned them panicking. It just goes to show that when I started quoting things like "Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act" they soon changed their minds!!

So hopefully they will credit my account next week, have to fill in another form first though!!

This is the bulk of my refund (about £1500!!!!). Just waiting now for ABTA to confirm they will reimburse me the £240 I paid on debit card for balloon flights.

Then I will have all my money back!!

And can look to buy some tickets again!!!

Thought I would point out though - Themeparkland ARE back trading again, I noticed their website the other day and its all up and running and allowing orders. And ABTA have covered them!

I certainly wont be ordering off them!

Yes me too Capital One were not playing ball with me either they just kept on saying but you authorised payment so like you I quoted a few things that ABTA told me and they sent me a form. Also Virgin are pricematching all you have to do is e-mail them the flight shop web site address and they match and no credit card charge either. Capital One can go whistle if they send me a bill!!
