Thank you everyone for the kind words and encouragement for the trouble I was having with my son. We did go to the recruiter last week and they told him he wouldn't be able to go to boot camp til sometime in 2004. At that point we decided to think about it some more at home. Talked to DH and he agreed that with some really strict rules we would make things work. Well, Friday my son got a call from college saying they had a room for him if he decided to come back to school(he wanted to take a semester off and then transfer local). Problem was he had given up his financial aid package etc. He said it would probably be best for him if he went back to school and got away from the crowd he was hanging with(not a good crowd). I spent Friday trying to secure student loans for him and trying to come up with the money he needed. Well, late Friday I got word that he was approved for a loan and they would fax the school to let them know. I spent yesterday shopping and preparing for him to go. Tomorrow I will drive him back to school. I am so happy and think things might get better. It is so tough when you only want the best for your kids and they think they know better than you. Again, thanks for the support. You all helped me get through I really tough week!

So very happy to see this, wdwnutze. Kids can be tough sometimes, but I guess that is normal, I was awful, LOL. Good news, my best for your boy in the coming months, hope he gets and stays on track.

Have a nice holiday.

This is good news, indeed. You've had a pretty busy few days, haven't you?

Have a safe drive. {{{HUGS}}} sweetie

Sometimes these older "kids" seem like more work than the age of getting them to all their practices, appointments etc! Bigger kids: bigger problems! I hope that things work out for him at school - he's probably learned a lot from his past experiences. So hang in there Mom!

This is great news! Sounds like he's growing up! I'll keep him in my prayers. Have a safe trip!
