Just came in from working all day on the new flower bed project. I am SOOOO tired ... that I can hardly move. However, I took some pics of this current state of completion and thought I would share them with you.
Just as a reminder.... here is what the beds looked like the last time I posted about it:

LOTS and LOTS of topsoil that had to be moved. DH rented a bobcat and used it to move much of the soil into the beds, however it could not get in close enough to do much more than a dump in the beds... so lots of hand shoveling was still required. On top of that... the dump of dirt on one section of the wall... knocked down the blocks.
Then to top it off - DH accidentally knocked another section over while operating the bobcat!
So we spent today digging out the wall - rebuilding the sections that got knocked over and filling in the soil and smoothing it all out. In addition, I added the last elements of the stone work that had to wait for the soil - some tiered levels that add height interest. So here is how it is looking as of this evening - starting from the front of the house:

Next order of business is to mix in the compost, and plant them up. Tonight however I plan to sit here in my computer chair and NOT move! My back is killing me and I am worn out.
Amid - I have a few extra stones left... wish you lived closer I would contribute them to your project.
