Update on my July trip and check in problems

Just wanted to let everyone know that when they have a reservation that is "linked' (ours was not really linked, we were waitlisted for an extra night and it came through under one reservation number, but she called it 'linked')make sure the CM checking you in does it correctly.

I expressed my dissatisfaction with the attitude of the CM at OKW when I checked in back in July 27. After listening to many of you, I chalked it up as a one time thing (hopefully). Then the issue with the room keys not working due to the fact the check in CM didn't check us in correctly and we had to wait quite a while to get replacement keys. This also messed up my T & T day and then I ran into a situation where I was furious at being hung up on when I called the front desk (you all set that straight with letting me know we don't really get the front desk!).

Anyways................first off. My original reservation did request near HH ( I have it). WE were on Turtle Pond (with DD in a leg cast and DH who just postponed his knee surgery to go on this vacation). We dealt with it, yes, upset about it, but dealt with it, and drove to the main pool daily.

Now, I just made a short weekend reservation at OKW for April 2009. I had plenty of pts remaining according to my records, The reservation I made only required 65 pts. I got an email response saying they had to borrow pts from my June 2009 use year!! I couldn't figure it out.

I called MS and spoke with Rico (see another thread I wrote about this). He was super nice and helpful. However, he was unable to get the borrowed points back into the 2008 use year.............final transaction. The reason my points went into holding was that because the CM that checked us in did not do it properly. When we went to get new keys, that CM, who was very nice, ended up making us a completely new reservation so we did not have to wait any longer than we already had (nearly 2 hours). With that..............it put 104 points in a holding account!!!! Rico was able to fix that and get them out of holding and I just ended up banking them. BUt I still do not have the borrowed points back to where they should be and it was not my doing.

So, to make this long saga complete. I never did send the letter to the OKW general manager. I figured I have had so many wonderful trips (the last few seeing a decline though), I would just blow it off. I still had fun with my family.

Now, since this really got messed up by this CM, I feel I should write the letter. I am not looking for any compensation (I have more than enough points) but I do feel that the CM needs some re-training............not only in attitude adjustment but proper check in proceedures so people like me do not have to go through this.

As a note to everyone............take a moment to re-check your point status and if anything looks funky to you............call MS. Rico was great.

Does anyone know the name of the General Manager at OKW?

Thanks for listening and I hope that this thread will help others. NOt meant to be a bashing thread, just one so other's can check their membership status and make sure there are no errors on it and learn from my situation.
