update on DVC - DDP after checkout problems?

Our trip starts next week. I seem to recall several DVC members reporting that they had problems using their DDP credits after checkout. Just wondering if this is still an issue? Any suggestions on how to prevent? Our planned schedule, unfortunately, means we will be using credits later in the day after checking out.
 
Problems only when checking into the same resort he next day. Checking out completely or checking out and into a diff resort is where I have had problems.

Keep the resorts phone, in case you need to do it as a room charge, I have no other reccomendations, until DVC gets it straightened out.. I think that is all you can do.
 
Confused. Are you saying it is only a problem when moving between reservations at the same resort or when checking out completely from a resort?

we checked out on 12/27 and when I went to buy a bag of nuts on a snack credit, DDP did not work. i was at AKV and I walked over to front desk--they said--no, you're fine 4 snacks and 4 dinners left. i went back over and no go. Clerk from store wnet over to desk and manager had to come out--he then said that there was a glitch in the system and the ONLY option was to pay OOP for everything and then bring receipts back to front desk for a credit--they did give us a really nice credit on our Cc for the trouble (not even asked for). For us, no big deal, as we were eating at Boma's that night--it took 10 minutes to get the credit---but if you were in the park or DTD and then leaving to drive home, that could be a pain to have to go back to your DVC---best plan--"test" by buying a snack after you check out to see if your DDP has been wiped out. What I don't understand is why the front desk DVC computers showed DDP, and they even gave me a print out, but store and restaurant show nil?? Someone else said the restuarant can call the front desk--don't know about this.
 

This is a bummer to hear. This is going to make my trip extremely difficult. We are in four different places over two weeks and plenty of after-checkout use of the DDP. Grrrrrr. :headache:
 
I was thinking of doing the DDP for the first resort of our split-stay. I don't want to have to deal with this. Once I leave our first resort, I don't want to have to go back there to get the DDP straightened out. Hopefully, this will get taken care of quickly.
 
We did this back in December and did not have a problem. We were able to use our credits after check out. We had the Deluxe plan and then the regular dining plan. On the day of the "overlap" I made sure to tell the CM exactly which plan we wanted to use and checked the receipt after the meal.

I plan to do this again on our next trip so I am interested in seeing how it goes for others.
 
Maybe this is an AKV issue. I'm doing this on Sunday/Monday. First night at OKW with delux ddp (credits to use over 2 days), then no ddp the remainder of the trip. I'll have my netbook and will certainly post back success or failure.
