Well, things are looking up for my Dnephew, LittleBitty. 
DSIL and her DH are now allowed to go in and do what's called 'touch therapy' and lay him on their chests, massage him, etc. His skin is not as fragile as the docs had expected and they have taken out one of his umbilical cord tubes. He is off the respirator and onto something called a CPAP machine, but I'm not sure exactly what that does.
I'll keep ya'll updated as we get them. Thanks for all the p and pd ya'll. LittleBitty, DSIL and her DH really need them.

DMIL told us about how the other day DSIL's DH went in with the baby and he could slide his wedding ring all the way up to the kid's armpit. His arms are that tiny, they look like matchsticks. His eyes are still closed, which makes me think of a newborn kitten or puppy and he's still covered in that 'lanugo' hair stuff babies have prenatally, which makes him very, very fuzzy at the moment. 
Keep up the p and pd ya'll. The adoption papers aren't finalized YET but they soon will be and thanks to Medicare (long story...PM me if ya want), it looks like DSIL won't be stuck paying what will probably end up being a $1 Million plus hospital bill by the time everything is said and done with. LittleBitty is scheduled to be released what would've been his actual due date (had he stayed in the womb for the whole 40 wks) in mid-July.
