Update on Disney Bus Crash

The driver of the Disney bus, who crashed into a broken down Mears bus at the entrance to Epcot, was ticketed for careless driving.

In addition to the bus driver's injuries, a five year old boy suffered a broken pelvis.

I was there, it looked AWFUL! There was a broken down Hilton Bus that was empty & the front of the Disney bus was totally gone! It was very fortunate that there were so few people on that bus, it was horrific. There was about a zillion police cars and firetrucks, I was releived to learn there was just a handful of people on the bus at the time/.

Deb they said on the Orlando News that night that the bus in front had broken down, had the flashers on, and the driver had gotten out of it to look at it, she smelled somthing burning. SO the Disney bus driver should have seen it.

So, no charges for the tour bus that was stopped?

No charges have been filed against the tour bus driver. They said there were no skid marks at all. The Disney bus driver did not even attempt to stop. Something makes me think he was either day dreaming or was falling asleep. A lot of Disney CMs work multiple jobs. I've been waiting for the day an exhausted CM makes a really horrible mistake due to too little sleep. I don't know if that was the case here, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
