Nuvaring :scared1:  I'm way too embarrassed to call his vet -- he's my neighbor!!!! What to do, what to do???

Well, it looks like you have more than one problem, here. ;)

And you do definitely need to call the vet.

I am sorry you are freaked out, I would be to, but I laughed so hard when I read this:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Let us know what happens

At least the dog wont get pregnant:rotfl2:

Best bet for a tag today...."Dog ate my nuvaring!"

Did he eat an old one or a new one? I'm going to go out on a limb and say he didn't eat one you were already using. I think you might have to call the vet. I'm not sure what the hormones would do to a dog? I really have no clue. He might turn into some sort of fire breathing dog monster.

You can google the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (I don't think we can post phone #s here) There's a $50 charge for the service. I suppose they can answer your worries about the poison aspect, but not the blockage aspect.

I looked up what it is, and it seems rather large. Chances are it would pass, but you never know. I'd see a vet. And if you have another one, bring it along as a demonstration piece, because it may not show up on an Xray, depending on its makeup.

So funny!!!! Sorry...

How do you bring that up with the owners?

How do you know the dog ate it?

Was it liver flavored?:confused3 :rotfl: BTW, you're a lousy dog sitter:lmao:

Okay, I'm sorry, I couldn't help it. That is just funny. I don't even want to know how he got it.

You really should call a vet, though. Just look one up in the phone book. They don't need to know the dog to answer a simple question.

Are you saying there is a $50 charge to call animal poison control??? Seems to me like that would pretty much keep most people from using the service! I love my dog, but no WAY am I going to pay $50 to find out if eating my ficus leaves was a bad idea for him. Not happening!

Is the dog microchipped? I know Home Again has a number you can call for free assistance and they can connect you to a local vet.

I feel for you. My dog eats stuff. No matter how careful we are, he still finds stuff to eat.

Update -- I've left a message for the vet's wife. She's a vet too, but works when the kids are in school. I'm sure she will get a great laugh out of this -- we scrapbook together and I can see her face when she listens to that message. The little guy seems to be just fine. He only ate about 1/3 of the thing. Maybe it will help with his nasty little humping habit. :hyper:

As far as telling the owners -- well, if the little pooch is ok, this will be our little secret. I'll swear the vet and his wife to silence and threaten my DH with his life. I'm sure if this gets out in my neighborhood, I'll never live it down in my little cul de sac.

Was it liver flavored?:confused3 :rotfl: BTW, you're a lousy dog sitter:lmao:

Nope, not exactly liver flavored and to think that we are getting a puppy this summer. :rolleyes1
