Update! Never lose hope! I'm never getting a cabana. Resigned.

We're Gold and I got a SB cabana on both legs of our upcoming B2B. There were also ones available on the family beach a good week after our window opened. I logged in at midnight on the first day for each cruise and was able to get cabanas and Palo brunch. I think a lot has to do when you sail and on what ship. We're on the Magic in Nov. Keep checking because people cancel all the time and cancelations have to be made 3 days prior to departure in order to get a refund. We've also gotten one just by checking at the Port Adventures desk the day before we docked at CC. Palo brunch on Christmas Day is awesome!! Have fun!

Platinum and tried for one in March (this past March) with no luck...first on waitlist once on ship, again no luck.

For February, I am determined!!!

I'm still Gold. I was able to snag a Cabana for Thanksgiving out of Miami. My chances were good because there are less concierge rooms on the Magic. Keep trying!!!!

I'm with you! I am Gold and tried to snag a cabana in July. I checked 3-4 times a day EVERY DAY and NEVER saw one pop up. I became obsessed! We have stayed a few times in concierge and used the cabanas then....but in my opinion they should NOT hold a cabana until the last minute for cabana guests to wait and decide if they want it. I feel like they already get first dibs and if they book late or can't decide then that is their problem for not taking advantage of the early booking window. I did have an amazing time on CC without the cabana but it sure would have been nice. Trying to decide if I even want to try for our NYE cruise. I don't want it to be a daily thing again and the ship will be to capacity. Plus weather if more likely to be iffy.....anyway....I feel your pain!

I think there is a lot less demand on the smaller ships. I'm only Silver and was able to get a FB cabana when we could start booking stuff at 90 days out. We are sailing on the Magic in November. I hadn't even planned on it, but there it was. I'm not overly thrilled with the location (it's #20) so I'm going to try and get waitlisted once I'm on the ship for a lower number cabana.

A lot depends on your cruise date, and also as Bree mentioned, it seems to be easier on the smaller ships, maybe because there are fewer concierge cabins. For the holiday dates, you just have to expect that the ship will be sold out, and consequently most if not all of the cabanas will be taken by concierge / platinum. If you want to have a better chance for a cabana, book a smaller ship in a slow season. Of course, the OP can always take 5 more cruises to get to Platinum, this will potentially make a big difference. We didn't even try to get a cabana until we got to Platinum, it is just seemed to stressful making all that effort just to either miss out or have to spend more money. We did score a SB cabana for our cruise in October on the Magic. I am really glad we did since this will likely be our last Disney cruise for a while. They are just taking to many things away and with the continually rising prices, it just isn't worth it anymore.

You shouldn't give up. I'm silver, sailing on the Fantasy in November, and I just got one on Serenity Bay yesterday!

Update! I got one! Woot woot! I had a bout of insomnia last night that totally paid off! Cabana 24 here we come! So excited! Strange thing is though, when I look at the list of port adventures, it still shows as available. And it is definitely mine!
:cool1::cool1: I'm so glad you stuck with it! Congratulations! I agree it is weird that it still shows in port adventures - freaked me out when I first saw that on ours, but it's all good, definitely yours and you'll really enjoy it!
