UPDATE - my baby needs all the p&pd she can get.

We had a TV camera thing you buy at the baby store for my DD her first year and my DH and I stared at it all night to watch her chest move up and down. That was an exhausting year. For DS we got a monitor that you put under the mattress- it is very sensitive and it beeps if there is twenty seconds of no breathing. It is sensitive as all get out. When he started to roll over and off of the thing we would get scares if he was on the other side of the bed from it. It worked!! You may want to think about that.
