[Update] Joann Fabrics shutting down

They still have coupons though. Most are through the app though, like $5 off at least $35, but the coupon terms say they're not valid with any other discount. Not sure how that works though.

In addition to that, part of the liquidation sale started before they sold it off to a liquidation company. I was seeing that 10% off certain items before then. That was back when they were liquidating inventory but not necessarily the entire company.

I was there last night. Their coupons on the App you can use with the sale price-- I used one. There are always exclusion like doorbusters, clearance, etc.

The store I went to yesterday still had decent stock though some specific items were low or out. Hopefully what I bought will last me through this year and I can find another option during that time.

I went last week, and most things were 20% off. But I did get some "last chance" material at 60% off, and I think there was Christmas stuff at 75% off (but nothing great).

The very first time my mom and I went into Joann Fabrics was when my dad dropped us off at a mall and that mall had a Joann Fabrics and so we went inside and we were amazed at the crafts they sold and I got my Halloween costume there which was an angel costume and Joann Fabrics was a really wonderful place and then our town got a Joann Fabrics and Mom and I went there as well and bought Christmas decor. I think the success of Michael's and Hobby Lobby really hurt Joann Fabrics because for a time they were king of craft stores

Too late for the gift cards. Pretty sure Friday 2/28 was the last day they accepted them in store

They had fabrics 80% off--I got a bunch of flannel for $2 a yard. That's cheaper than the $3 a yard Black Friday deal, so I got more than enough for this year's Christmas sleep pants. My kids can pick from what I bought. I just hope that they send it in 3-yard lengths, and not 3, 1-yard lengths--it was tough to tell from the website.

I'm sure the prices will go lower, but selection was more important to me, versus saving the most possible.

Question for those who know- what should I look for in a hot glue gun?. Dual glues use? Easy to clean? Built in stand?
It’s been a long time since I had one so I might as well get one from Joann online if they charge a price s right.
