Hi all! I recently won a trip for 4 nights/5 days to disney for my family. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc. We are so excited to be heading back this summer, since DH told us "no more disney for a few years" after our trip last summer. :lmao: :rotfl:

In the packet of information they sent, the tickets are described as "Four (4) five day Magic Your Way tickets with park hopping and the Magic Plus Pack Option. This custom ticket includes park hopping for the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-Mgm Studios, and Animal Kingdom Theme park for seven days. It also includes four (4) optional visits to Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest, and Wide World of Sports."

The way I'm reading this, these tickets seem to expire within 7 days of first use? If that is true, does anyone know if the water park options must be used in 7 days also? We would like to extend the trip beyond the 4 nights (which we can do, at our expense) and spread out our park days a bit more but if the tickets expire in 7 days, we are a little more limited. I thought MYW tickets expired within 14 days? Maybe these are different? Has anyone heard of tickets expiring that quickly?

UPDATED later in thread

I am sorry, I really can't be any help on the tickets question but I will bump this back to the top for all the ticket experts and say CONGRADULATIONS!!! :yay:  :yay:

If the tickets are standard MYW tickets, the material on them can be spread out over 14 consecutive days. With five park days and four "plusses" you would then be able to do something on as many as nine of those days.

However promotional (non-standard) tickets exist with many different sets of rules. WHat comes with your package is probably still unknown, but will at least cover what was described in the brochure. Most promotional tickets cannot have more days or or non-expiration added on later.

Thanks, PratersloveDW, for the congrats and for bumping this up for me!

And thank you for all of the info, seashoreCM, about the tickets. I'm trying to figure out the best and cheapest way to extend this trip and we have to give them our final dates soon. I don't know if they are sending me the tickets ahead of time or whether we will get them at check-in, so it is really difficult trying to decide how many additional nights we want to stay. I do have one day left for DH, me, and my oldest child on old parkhoppers, but I don't have one for my 4 year old. It might be a good time to use them if the tickets they give us expire in 7 days. I would still have to buy a one day pass for my 4 yr old though. Hmmm... decisions, decisions...

I really cant help you out with any more info then what has already been said but CONGRADULATIONS. What a neat thing to win

Congrats! :cool1:
What contest did you win? (I'm a sweepstakes junkie and I must know!! :thumbsup2 )

Thanks, wisbucky!

Perhaps I can help. Last year I won a trip through Alamo.com for WDW. We received four 5-day MYW passes with hopping priveleges.

Sadly, the tickets were stamped "COMPLIMENTARY"...which means they have no value...which means that you cannot add anything on to them. The tickets that we were given had a 14 day expiration.

Its entirely possible that they can limit the expiration date to something less than 14 days. HOWEVER...the people in the contest department at Disney are VERY cooperative and flexible. In the packet of information that you received, you must have been given a name and number that you can call. Explain that you'd like to extend your trip and see if the expiration date on the tickets covers your trip.

In the event that the tickets are indeed limited to 7 days, then there is an upside...you will come and go to the parks as you please and not care if you are wasting money or not. Its an unusual carefree feeling. Of course more days is better, but being limited to 7 days is not all that bad.

BTW...I entered that contest myself. Congrats! I won another WDW trip through McDonalds recently...waiting to make the final arrangements.

That's awesome! I've never won a trip, but I won a laptop computer from Dell this past Christmas! I love it! Now I have the bug and I'm entering sweeps left and right! I'm hoping a Disney trip will be my next big one!

I don't have an answer but 7 days is wierd because you technically have 9 days worth of tickets...you might call the contact info and ask them about that discrepency.

Either way, CONGRATULATIONS and have an amazing trip!

I entered that Brawny contest, too! It's my dream to win a Disney vacation.

Congratulations on your big win! Do you know where you will be staying yet? Do you get a resort choice?

It would be nice if you could extend your stay. I hope that your tickets can work for you for the water parks on the extra days.

Have fun making all of your travel plans! I'm sure you'll have a great trip.

Just a quick update and a thank you to all of you for the congratulations. I've been in contact with the very nice and patient woman who is arranging the trip for us and she said that our tickets won't expire until the day after we leave Orlando, even if we extend our trip! :cool1:

We are hoping to add an additional 6 or 7 nights which would allow us to spread out our park days and have plenty of time to enjoy the resort and relax a little. We usually do the parks commando style and then head to the beach to do our relaxing for about 5 days. I'm really looking forward to spending more time enjoying the disney pool and resort!

We don't know which resort we will be staying at yet, but she did say that they usually will book trip winners in a deluxe unless we request otherwise. We can't afford to add the extra days on for a deluxe so we will probably switch over to POR for the additional nights. DH is beginning to ask and wonder how much this "free" trip is actually going to cost us! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
