Update... first post!!! sitting here very sad..... my doggy is gone !!

Think positive...

As a kid, my dog went missing for three weeks before she came home. She even jumped up a rang the doorbell. I went to answer the door and there she was...dirty and a little thin, but she made it home.

Hoping your Dash is home soon.

God I am so sorry. My heart is broken for you. We lost a dog once, got outside...we searched and searched and couldn't find him. Finally a week later we found him at the pound in the puppies section. Sadly, less than a year later he got out again and was hit by a car. He was a beagle mix so always off smelling something.

I am praying that you find your sweet doggie. He's a cutie.

Dash was not a chaser and with a 10 ft lead attached to him he would have gt caught and I would have least had found that. It's looking even worse since I was just talking to someone at school who told me that someone else who lives near me lost their dog on Sunday from their yard. I was told their dog is not a runner either and has never wondered off for more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. It's been 4 days for them. 2 dogs in two days. Theirs was a Golden retriever.

Have you considered calling the police? Two dogs in two days sounds strange if they are dogs that normally don't run off.

I am so sorry! What a scary thing to happen, I can't even imagine how upset I would be if that happened to one of our dogs. Many prayers for you and your family and especially adorable Dash. He looks like the sweetest dog, I am praying up and down that he is found.

I really hope he finds his way home to you...

We adopted a dog in January 2009 and only had her 1 day, 1 DAY before she ran away for 6 days....but she came back. If she came back to us after only having scent of us for 1 day please keep up the faith he will come home.

I have called multiple town police stations. Put up about 50 flyers, posted on Craigslist, posted on the NH SPCA and notified all immediate area vets.

I think it's weird too but nothing much they can do.

I'm so sorry and I have my fingers crossed that he makes it back home.

However, if someone saw a cougar in their backyard, and two pets have gone missing, that is concerning. Animal control or someone like that should be notified so they can keep watch, and let everyone know to watch small children and pets.

I was thinking the cougar theory sounded like the most plausible, but it would be harder to imagine a cougar taking a Golden Retriever and leaving no evidence. We have bobcats, coyotes, wild boar and the occasional wolf to worry about at our house, so I understand your worry.

Still no dog back. My other dog is moping around and won't even stay outside at all. he goes out and does his business and the wants in immediately.
