When we got him, from his litter of 12, we were told he is a mix of Jack Russell, Pitbull, and Husky.

We are feeding him very little at a time but letting him drink as he wants. we don't want him to get sick. And I left a message at our vets office to get in first thing in the morning to have him checked over and he definitely needs a bath.

Oh my goodness, poor baby! I can't even imagine where he went and what he was doing. It is a miralce he found his way back home. Once again, so happy for you and your family and Dash!

what a great ending to a scary story! We had a cat disappear once and show up weeks later...I totally know the feeling of seeing your pet and thinking "WHAAAT???" I wish they could talk, and tell us where they have been!

I just found this thread and I'm so happy Dash came home!!!

A few years ago, my mom, my grandma, and I went to Seattle on vacation so we left our four cats and my grandma's cat at a kennel that we've left our cats at for about 20 years. They have the cages inside a closed in area and the day we got back, right before we picked them up, the owner's 3 year old daughter had opened the door to the closed in area while the owner was putting my grandma's cat back in her carrier and her cat escaped. My mom and I got to the kennel before my grandma and it was heartbreaking to have to tell her that her only cat was missing, especially when all four of ours were safe That cat was missing for FOUR MONTHS and one day my grandma got a phone call from the kennel saying that there was a cat hiding under their porch that looked exactly like my grandma's. It was her I couldn't believe it! As a side note, most people would stop going to that kennel after that, but it wasn't really the owner's fault and we still go there and they're MUCH more careful now and haven't had a problem since then.
