UPDATE!! Before/During pictures added...My wedding ring fits again!!!

I promise I'll put before/during pictures in here as soon as dh scans them in- but I had to share that 45 pounds has finally shrunk my finger enough to wear my wedding ring- my dh will be sooo proud- at our 7th anniversary he bought me a diamond band (since we were too broke when we first married to get one!!) and I've been wearing that- now it's too big but my wedding ring keeps it from slipping off.

It's the little things like the ring, giving away my X sized clothing, and seeing my collar bones that makes the journey a little more fun- Thanks WISH team- y'all are the greatest!!!

Here are my before/during 45 pound loss pictures!! Oops sorry-didn't realize they'd come out so LARGE!! Anyone know how to shrink them? Oh, and the blue dress is my dear mother's I had to borrow for a dinner we went to- size 14!!

Congratulations! That is a wonderful feeling, isn't it!? I just had a "spacer" put on my wedding band/anniversary ring, because the rings kept threatening to fall off. I'll wait to have it re-sized once all the weight is off.

I can see you smiling, Tara! I remember when I had to have my rings cut off when I was pregnant 13 years ago. DH had them resized for me for Christmas one year. And now he'll have to do it again!

What a wonderful validation for the great job you have been doing.

It is always wonderful when we go down a size or find that a piece of clothing is now too big, but to be able to wear your wedding ring again is absolutely phenomenal. It is probably the one piece of jewelry that means the most to you, and now you can wear it with pride again.

Tara, you look wonderful!!! I am so happy you finally posted your new pictures. How was the party you went to? Your mom's dress sure does look nice. I know you told me before that it wasn't quite your style, but it looks great. I think that is another good thing about losing weight, at least for me, people are handing me down clothes that I never would buy for myself and I am discovering I actually like some of the things they are giving me and they are so not me.

You are right, the little things go a long way to making us feel good about ourselves. You must be so excited to be able to wear your wedding ring again and I know what you mean about those collar bones, I have discovered that I have them too!!!

It's so great sharing things with you guys!! WISH is soo much of the reason I've stuck with it this time- I'm tickled!

We had a wonderful time "dressing up" for our church dinner- it's the neatest thing- they have a black tie dinner called the "Horton" awards (after the Dr. Seuss book where Horton hatches the egg of the bird who abandoned it) where they recognize 6 members who have gone above and beyond in serving others- it was very touching and since they had free pizza and movie for the kids it was a very doable evening- no babysitter fees and a very nice formal dinner. With Louie (dh) down 30 pounds and me down 45 we felt like king and queen!
