Em must have been mistaken... we were having a fairy and pirate party, not a princess and pirate party!

What great pics! That cake looks really cute and tasty!
I bought Aubree a Belle dress (thinking of how adorable Em looks in hers), and she took one look at it, shook her head and yelled "Nooooo! No Belle dress!"![]()
Someday she'll come around. I hope!
Soon your little boy will be here. So excited for you.![]()
Hey Laura!!! So sorry it has been so long since I have checked in---been too busy with life (I know you know how THAT feels!) I love the party pics!!! That was the same cake we had for Megan's birthday last year---same Tink figure too!!! She still has that sitting on her nightstand in her bedroom! I know there is not much more until Mr. Luke arrives, so enjoy your last few days as a family of four---soon to be five!!! SO EXCITING!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY HANNAH!!!!!
HAPPY FIFTH BIRTHDAY, HANNAH!
We had a great day! We went to the waterpark, then out to dinner before having another cake- this time an ice cream one!
Laura, wonderful photos from the party -- the cake looks delicious and it looks like everyone had a great time! I love that Em wore her Belle dress! Enjoy Hannah's b-day today and relax as much as you can!
Very nice cake! The party looks like it was lots of fun! Happy Birthday to your Hannah. I know how you feel. My Hannah turned 6 on our first trip to WDW. I can't believe she's starting 1st grade next week.
Loved your pictures of her party what a cute idea.
The cake was delicious looking.
And of course the birthday girl was adorable.
Looking forward to seeing pic's of little Luke soon.
What a fun cake!! I love it. The pictures of the party look so fun. Hannah looks like she is having the time of her life. Em looks adorable in her dress. Where did you find one small enough to fit her? I need to get one for my DD, but she only wears a 2T.
A bit off topic.... but oh well.
Today we had a bit of excitement. We were headed to my parent's house to swim and run to Kohls (another big markdown so we were baby Luke shopping)
They literally live five miles away.... and as we were headed there a big dump truck was in the other lane headed south while I was headed north.... and the truck started spewing glass out the top.... all over the road and my van! I had never seen so much stuff flying out.... it might have got a pickup truck in front of me... but I took the brunt of it.
Immediately I had scratches and glass on windshield... and I tried to turn aroudn and follow the darn truck, but traffic and construction prevented me from catching up....
Luckily my car's body was good, just one shred of glass, but low I could find. There was also glass in my tire treads...
I was okay, and the girls were so I did not let it upset me... I knew I could get the windshield fixed.
So after stopping at my parents and picking up my mom to go to Kohls.... we realized my air was not working!
It had been... so I realized it probably was connected, called the dealer and explained what happened.... could the glass have damaged something, which the dealer said could be. Meanwhile the van was leaking something on my parents driveway... not the typical condensation!
Called my insurance... pleaded the 37 week pregnant lady needs it fixed... please no waiting, which they said no problem to, and took the van in... 800 dollars later it was indeed connnected. The glass shards were evident in the leaking part!
As we drove down the rode to the dealer my mom could not believe all the glass still in the road, especially when I called immediately to report it in hopes that they would get it cleaned up!
So it was a crazy crazy day.... but I am so lucky we were all okay! That was a close call.... so glad that my windows were up or else I bet I would have been visiting a hospital and stuff now!
Looks like a great party. Good job mom.Kid parties are a lot of work. It's a lot easier when they get older because you don't have to entertain them so much. My teens don't really have parties anymore, dinner with the family and maybe a movie with friends.
Good luck with the delievery and I hope you are able to get your pages done in your scrapbook.
I can't wait to see those scrapbooked! They are adorable!!!
Happy birthday Hannah!
Love the pics, and love that cake! Times like those I miss having a girl, but I love my little pirate!
So you got your air fixed right away??? I am so jealous!! I took my van in in in the spring because it just didn;t feel very cool - they re-charged the air and put some dye in it. I don't work so try to drive as little as possible, so it wasn;t until I took it in for an oil change in July (the 10th) that I had them check it again because it still didn;t feel cool. They said that the line was indeed leaking. We left for Florida on August 6th and at that time they still did not have the part in for my air conditioner - nearly a month later!! I was never so happy that we flew as I was on the 16th when we got back to the airport and opened up the van that had no air - I was so thankful we didn't have to deal with that while we were down there!! Fortunatley the part had come in while we were gone - although the service guy was unaware of taht. I called and he said it wasn't in yet - so I called the Parts Dept to see if he had any idea when to expect it and he said it was there - Ischeduled the repair the next day.
Bottom line to my long drawn out story? I am so glad they were able to take care of your air issues right away and that you weren't stuck airless for those last few days of being a "pregnant lady"!
What a fun party! We used to love scavenger hunts too and sometimes we'd have one just because it was Saturday. I love that Hannah's outfit matched the cake and Em's outfit is adorable too!
