Update! 7/6- 8 am ADRS?! a 2013 TR, Fueled by Pixie Dust and Coffee..

Finally!
Sheesh.

I typed this all up earlier, while Matt was playing video games.

Then, lo and behold, I was missing a picture!
Good grief...

But, I've got it now. :)

-Ohana!-

So, first things first - that king size bed? Terribly, horribly hard to peel yourself out of in the morning. Especially when sick! Sigh.
But, when my alarm went off around 6, I hopped up and started getting ready. Truth be told, I was entirely too excited to hear our wake up call. Last time, it had been Stitch, 'rudely' waking you up - then Mickey came on the phone, and apologized, then woke you up. Needless to say, I was happy.

This trip, not so much.

It was Mike Wazowski, from Monster's Inc. (Well, University, to be precise.) It was really hard to make out what he was saying - but you get the vibe that he's calling to yell at a classmate from MU, then realizes he has the wrong person, and then hangs up on you. It really sounded like it just cut off, and then a few days it DID cut off. Wasn't so much a wakeup call... if I hadn't already been awake, I'm not sure I would have been woken up - but ah well.

We stumbled around getting ready - Matt was NOT happy about having an 8 am ADR. Especially on a vacation - but you know, that's what happens when you let the Disney crazed wife make all the reservations! We made it to the bus to Magic Kingdom, but just barely.

We hadn't seen a MK bus in a while, but Epcot buses were abound. So I got the bright idea to hop on a Epcot bus, and then take the monorail back to the Polynesian. Which was great, but I'd forgotten the Epcot monorails start running a little later. Thank goodness the bus driver asked is where we were headed!

Thankfully, the MK bus showed up a few minutes later, and we hopped on the Resort Monorail. :) It was freezing. And Matt and the Boozle Bear were grumpy. Needed coffee.

Getting to Ohana was uneventful. We found it pretty easily. I was happy we remembered, especially after my ME blunder. The line was long, but it went pretty quickly. My only complaint here, is we didn't get any leis! I dont know if it's only for people celebrating (we were!) or if it's for first timers, but we got lei's last time - - it looked like EVERYONE did -- but not this time. We didn't see ANY lei's around, maybe they were out?

We got to our table, and got the breads - which as always, were great! We of course, ordered juice and coffee. That juice does me in. It's so good. My favorite!

We took a picture of our 'cousin' with the Boozle Bear. He didn't quite get it, and was a little awkward, so Matt hopped in, too. We didn't ask any of our severs to take a picture after that, it seemed too awkward.

I should note here, that they were doing the hand sign for 'shaka,' or 'hang loose.' Matt at first, was doing 'i love you' in sign language. Our cousin tried his best to correct him, and I tried showing him. He finally got it right. :)

We got our food, and it was amazing, as always. I completely forgot to take pictures, but since it was family style, I didn't panic too much. (Though, I did make sure I took more pictures at other meals!)

Family style- fruit and a dipping sauce, (which was new, we didn't get that last time!)

Then the eggs, potatoes, sausage, and Mickey Waffles. Last trip, I didn't care for them, but they were better this time around, I'll admit! Maybe we got cold ones last time? I dunno. Either way....

I mostly ate eggs and potatoes. I almost asked for more - my healthy eater husband hijacked most of the eggs but I wasn't hungry enough for an entire new portion, so we thought better of it.

The characters came around - and thankfully, it wasn't too hard to explain what we were doing with the bear. (I'll put those pictures over in Boozle's trip

Didn't have any extraordinary interactions. Most everyone asked about our anniversary buttons, and how many years, and took pictures. Mickey and Lilo didn't take a picture with Matt -- Lilo actually didn't even take a picture with me - I think she assumed we only wanted one with the bear -- but Stitch took a picture with Matt too. (Yet another reason Stitch is my absolute favorite.)

Stitch also gave me this huge, giant bear hug -- and held it while Matt took a picture. Sadly, this was the only time I saw Stitch the whole trip - we kept missing him in Magic Kingdom. :(

And Pluto I think, was running a bit behind -- so he didn't take a picture with the bear, or sign the book. Our server ran up with Pluto, and offered to take our picture together with him. I assumed they were running behind, so I didn't even bring the bear up. I can only imagine how stressful it is to time manage during a character breakfast. Especially when LOTS of kids are there. So, no complaints here. :)

When we left Ohana (after copious amounts of coffee and juice) we briefly checked out the sushi on Kona's menu. We almost went back for sushi and a lapu-lapu one night, but it didn't fit in the schedule. Sadly, but that just means it's on next times to-do, right?

We did, however, find an odd looking Tiki chair, and took a picture of the Boozle in it. (We took one of Matt too, but he didn't like how it came out!)

I wanted to take a picture by the Lilo and Stitch surfboard in the lobby, but there was a CM standing by it on the phone, so I thought better of it. Wasn't that important!:)

So then, we left the Poly, and headed for Magic Kingdom!

Woohoo! So now you can go back before I have grandkids! (;
We have an early Ohana ADR for our trip, this made me more excited about it!

The characters are fantastic with kids. Stitch and Lilo especially.

Last trip - I people watched. This little boy- not yet talking age, only had eyes for Lilo. He was glowing. She patted his cheek, and spent a lot of time with him. Was better than any Wdw commercial I've seen, in adorable levels.

It's fun to take plushes. Stitch loved seeing my little stitch. Maybe a stitch shirt, even could be fun !

I'm loving your trip report and can't wait to read more. Great pictures too. :)

That sounds like one wake-up call I can live without.

Nice to see the early start.

Yeah.. it was really lackluster. Not enough to ruin the trip, by any stretch . But you know.

It was!

Sorry I haven't updated. I should today... dh is out of town..

Problem being, my brother found baby kittens. Three out of four have homes. The last, I snatched as a house guest. Muaha.

He's needy and clingy though. So. I haven't updated yet!

Baby kitty!

Are you gonna keep it?

No rush in updating. Look after 3D life first.

I want to. I need to convince the husband, and our two cats, first .... eek!

Love you trip report so far! I have to admit, I am usually a lurker, but I am trying to comment more. :) I was just introduced to reading Tosca Lee since she wrote a series with my favorite author, Ted Dekker. I am interested in reading more that she has written!

Hope the rest of the family come round to your way, and the baby kitty's way, of thinking.

Thank you! He came with to pick up takeout last night. Everyone thought he was cute, ha

Ohhhh.

You should never have said that.

I LOVE those two. LOVE love. You won't be disappointed.

Not everything of hers is as action y as Dekker. Start with Demon or Iscariot, maybe!

So, in keeping with my promise to myself to take full advantage of the Photopass +, we stopped in MK and took pictures. :) (I didn't end up asking everyone for magic shots like I'd planned, but I did get a few. :) )

As soon as we hit the gate at MK, I pulled out the app I have for character meets. Gaston and the Fairy Godmother were HIGH on our priority list. Gaston, for my own amusement... and then the FG for both my Boozle purposes, and for my own want. I've wanted to meet her forEVER.

(Speaking of which - I'll post the Boozle pictures over on his TR soon - there are a ton, thank you Photopass!!!)

After checking the times ,we decided to try and spot the FG first. (There weren't any set lines out for Gaston, so we wanted to catch him first -with him being new and all, but FG times worked out better.

We were a bit early, so we hung around a bit behind the castle, behind another family. Then there she was!

I was a bit nervous - this being the first face character I'd be meeting. But it went fine! I explained the teddy bear to her, had her sign his book, and we took pictures. She loved it. She thanked me multiple times for showing the bear to her, and made sure she told me where other characters were. Such a sweet lady, loved getting to meet her.

We made sure to take a picture at Cinderellas Wishing Well. Love that they use the change in it to donate to help kids wishes come true. We both dropped some change in.

We went and checked out the Confectionary - a girl I talk to on Tumblr worked there, and I was going to try and say hello. Turns out, she wasn't working (She didn't end up working at all on our trip, actually!) But, I went through the line anyway, and bought this rich, amazing looking peanut butter cup. It was killer. Loved it . That whole store smelled amazing. It's trouble. Don't go. Really. Unless your self control rocks, stay far away!!!

Then, we ran off to catch Gaston. We'd already decided to not bring out Boozle - partially because his lines were so long - who would have thought that a villain would be super popular?!

We had been in line for a bit - (forever!) - when Gaston came out. He met the first person in line, then the character attendant led him and the family (and the rest of the line by default) over to where the line apparently already was! (Oops.)

There was a family behind us who had a little girl who was very much not happy. I think she was just tired . Shame, she was adorable. Had a tutu skirt on, and this shirt that had some of the princesses on.

I had my pin lanyard and some pins my sister got me for my birthday (a starter set) in my purse, so I had an idea. I quietly asked the mom if they collected pins - and she said they had some, but not many. So I pulled out the lanyard, and showed the little girl my pins - and told her if she liked one, that she could have it.

She was still pretty shy/quiet - but she did look a little happier. She chose a Tinkerbell pin - and seemed to really like it. I noticed she went back and forth on if she wanted her mom to pin it on, or if she'd carry it. We chatted with them a bit, before meeting Gaston.

Gaston, is a riot. Definitely just like he is in the movie. He went to take my hand and kiss it, but overshot and kissed his own! Cracked me up. He asked Matt how he wooed me, to which he replied that he was a musician, so that was all it took. (Ego contest, anyone?) Gaston ran with it, and said he was a musician too. He had a fine voice. So, I asked him to sing for us. He (very smartly) replied that his throat was a little sore, but that we should catch his show later on that day at Hollywood Studios.
He told us that if we ever had kids - Gaston was a fine name. We snapped some pictures -and then we were off!

Pixie Hollow is next - which, I've never met the fairies before. And now, I know why.

Those lines?! Brutal. BRUTAL.
It didn't end up being too bad, it was inside, and there were little cartoons playing, too. They were so cute!

We got to the front of the line -and we were informed that it was Rosetta there with Tink. Matt was a little disappointed ... he wanted to meet Vidia!!

It ended up being great though. Rosetta, I think is now my favorite. She was SO SWEET. I loved her accent, and really she was just perfect. She loved Boozle - showered him with attention -- and asked about my shirt. (It was my Project Pixie Dust shirt). She thought it sounded great, and even told Tink that they should join.:)
Tinkerbell.. holy gracious. Woman was super hyper! (It probably had something to do with really long lines...) She was sweet though. She asked if I was a dust keeper - and when I explained about PPD, she asked if I had any pixie dust for her. Which, I said no - but totally wasn't thinkining. I had one of my Project Pixie Dust necklaces in my purse, actually! (Probably best I didn't get it out though, since I didn't have one for Rosetta.
She was great with Boozle, and we got a picture with her too!

Haunted Mansion was next. There was almost no wait! (We went through the interactive queue anyway - we love it. We're such dorks....
I feel like we always catch something new when we ride that ride. There's so much going on to take in!

We walked around a bit, trying to locate Peter Pan, but no luck. We did later see Wendy, but her line was closed! We also wanted to meet Tiana, but her line had JUST closed, too.

What we did find, was Dole Whips! Oh, happy me. Only, I ordered a swirl, Dole Float. The girl just gave me vanilla. I loathe complaining, but she did make me a new one. So, very sweet of her, but I felt horrid. I still kinda feel like I should have kept my mouth shut, but it was delicious.

Now, I've reached my image limit.... more in the next post!

And, we came across Chip and Dale. That, made me exuberantly happy. I've wanted to meet them ever since I saw the Disneyland episode of Full House! We tried to find them at Epcot last trip, but we failed. So I had to go talk to them.
They were adorable. They fought over me, and tried to push Matt away.
At one point , Chip kissed my hand. On a whim- I grabbed his and kissed it back! He swooned, and the Photopass photographer loved it - she had us do it again, for a picture. I guess that one was a new one on her!
We then chatted about how much trouble they were - especially if Donald was around.

Afterwards, we headed to Enchanted Tales with Belle. The queue was adorable! My pictures didn't come out too well, but eh. I loved it. And the picture of Belle and her mom? Beyond cute. I loved it.

When we got in the workshop - I didn't think I'd be too impressed. I knew about the mirror... and I'd seen a video.
I was wrong.

The magic mirror thing, is amazing. It literally gets wider, AND longer. Makes a flipping door. I'm sure theres an easy Disney magic explanation - but I'm content not knowing it, for once. It was SO COOL.

We didn't get a part in the play- but a few other adults did. It was fun to watch, and the castle was gorgeous. :)

When we got done, it was getting close to time to leave. We had a Victoria and Albert's reservation at 6 - and had to shower and change first.

So we grabbed a quick snack at Gastons, then headed back to the hotel!

Even though the pork shank smelled amazing - I got hummus and pretzels. I knew I had a multi-course meal ahead of me. Matt got veggies and hummus. And of course, I tried LeFou's Brew. I actually really liked it! It was super sweet though, and I don't think I could drink it often...
