UPDATE 6/14 Our Amazing and Totally Yummy QSDP Quick Service Reviews May 12-19 PICS

Everything looks so delicious. I have had pastries at Kringla and loved them, but the sandwiches look fantastic. Something to consider for next time.

Thanks for sharing your reviews!

Kringla looks so good! I never manage to make to to Norway when I'm hungry. I need to change my world showcase touring pattern to get my timing right to line up my hunger with Kringla!

Tuesday was Magic Kingdom day. We decided to hop on the monorail and lunch at the Poly at Captain Cook's. Great choice :thumbsup2! We sat inside and it was cool and calm. The view of the grounds was lovely and I would eat here again in a heartbeat!

Captain Cook's rating B+. This was so yummy!! I know I keep saying that about all the places, but it has been true. We researched so much ahead of time so we wouldn't be stuck eating sub par food at mundane places and it paid off. I had the grown up grilled cheese with these AMAZING  chips. The were potato chips and I think maybe sweet potato chips and tortilla chips (I think). Whatever the heck these chips were I ate them all and was in love. The grilled cheese had tomatoes and different cheeses and it was melted and toasty warm. My DH was craving a cheeseburger so he got the 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. He devoured it. My son got some type of grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and pineapple (I can't remember the name) and he said it was fantastic.

**This is a very serious statement I am going to make; please listen up. We and I mean all 3 of us have never and I mean never partaken of a Dole Whip. Yes (hangs head in shame) it is true. But this is no longer the case my friends. All of us had for dessert (you guessed it) the "DOLE WHIP":woohoo::yay::cool1: Yes dear ones it is as good as they say!!!

YUM, love these reviews so far! You're really showing how many amazing CS options there can be out there, I love that! I agree with you about the pretzels at Kringla, I tried one my first time there and felt incredibly disappointed, but I loooooved the school bread!

And the info about Sassagoula is interesting...we've stayed at POFQ a few times but never ate at the food court, but we were planning to hit it up on our next stay. I'm REALLY sensitive to excess sodium so I'll be extra wary there now...no meal is worth ruining a day over! :lmao:

For Tues. nights dinner we were going back to the MK so we opted for the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary. I love that these really good counter service eateries are only a short monorail or boat ride away.

Contemp Cafe B+ Again, we lucked out. The food was very good and the location right next to Chef Mickey's was lively and spacious. We sat against the far wall of the Contemp with our back against Chef Mickeys looking out into the whole Cafe. Really nice. I had the Orecchiette Pasta with Chicken Basil Creme Sauce; really good. It was creamy with large chunks of white meat chicken and a huge serving. Of course I licked the plate clean ;). Hubby had the Hot Open-faced Roast Beef Sandwich - roast beef on toasted French bread with rosemary wine sauce and roasted wedge potatoes topped with cheesy breadcrumbs. He loved it. I tasted the potatoes and they were cooked really well and seasoned nicely. DS was not that hungry that evening. The amount of food we had been consuming was not our usual amount (way over) so he was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable so he just opted for a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Devoured it :confused3. For dessert Hubby and I had this incredible, and I mean good, lemon infused cupcake. WHOA!! Not too sweet, light, and very lemony. DS had a make your own sundae which he was allowed to get after we finished eating which was perfect.

Thanks so much for your great reivews. We are on the QSDP for the 3rd time this year. We really just love everything about it. We go for 11 days so adr's for that many days just is to much. We do have 2 adr's for the girls scheduled.

I making a list and now Norway is on it. The club looks so so good. Dh will be happy since there is roast beef on the menu.

We have only eaten at Contempo Cafe once and were not impressed. However, the roast beef sandwich and those lemon cupcakes look absolutely amazing. May be time for a return visit...

great reviews and 2 of them were on our list for our next trip that i've never tried and by your pictures and comments we will for sure make these stops: captain cooks and contempo
Awesome Job!!

Thank you all so much for the kind comments!! I am so glad to be able to give back a report as I have ready MANY many others...;)

Still a bunch more to come (wait until you see the snack pics popcorn::)

Thanks again everyone for coming along and leaving comments !

Great reviews and pictures! Can't wait to read more. It's almost like I was there-you had some of the same meals at some of the same locations we did! Too funny!

I don't know why we have never had the meatloaf at WPE before. :confused3 I saw a photo of it a few months back and it's on our list this year. My DM loves meatloaf-but I'm with you, I would expect beef gravy. I think I'll order mine with sauce on the side (I'm an "on the side" orderer anyway!)

Sad about the chicken at POFQ. DD12 had it last year and I had a few bites. I don't recall it being salty but then I like salt. Though not too salty.

Thanks for the photos of the sweets at Beverly. I can never find photos of that place.

Can't wait to read more.....

Really enjoying your reviews. It's great to see some photos of the food that is available on my list :)

Thank you for the excellent reviews! You definitely did your research and are hitting all my faves, and a couple I haven't tried but now want to.

We saw the parade at MK Tues. evening and while watching it we grabbed two snacks. We had a total of 21 between all of us for the week and this was our first day using two of them. I was sad when they reduced the snacks to 1 a day instead of 2 on the QSDP but honestly as it was there was so much food we had trouble using up our snack credits.

Mickey head pretzel from cart in Frontierland. How can you go wrong? A soft fresh pretzel shaped like Mickey Mouse, it's a no brainer ;)

My son got a Chrro from a cart in Frontierland as well. He loved it. I tasted it and it was warm and very cinnamony (is that a word?) sweet.

Wednesday we headed to Animal Kingdom. Now I always hear rave reviews about Flame Tree. OK Great. I don't like BBQ (remember the Wolfgang meatloaf) or smoky tasting food. So being the rebels we are we decided we would buck convention and not have Flame Tree. So where to go?? I had looked over the menus previously and we decided on Restaurantosaurus. Sorry to sound redundant but it was really good.

Restaurantosaurus Rating B (not for the food though) for the confusing serving/ordering area. My husband and ds went to order and I went to get a table. Well, I waited and waited and finally like 25 minutes later they showed up. What the heck? Hubby said CM's got confused and had orders wrong and they were charging people the wrong credits etc. Oh well things can happen. On to the food... All three of us ordered the shrimp po' boy sandwich. It was fantastic. The shrimp (again a bit salty, but hey it's shrimp) was fresh fried and piping hot. The roll it came on was soft and did not fall apart. It was dressed with a creamy sauce of some type that suited the shrimp perfectly. Also, this place has a fixings bar. You could pile on lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms etc. Nice plus. We all got fries with it. For dessert we got the chocolate mouse in a cup and the cheesecake in a glass. So for those of you who like to buck the system and live on the edge :thumbsup2 Restaurantosaurus just might be for you!

Wow You tried alot of great QS places. We really like Norway's sandwiches also, so big my DH and I split the meal or it's too hard to want to walk the rest of the way around the WS..:lmao:

I can really see it's also a great idea to hit the resort CS, your meal at the Contempo Cafe looks delish- especially those lemon cupcakes. My SIL and I want to try as many different cupcakes next trip as we can (probably breakfast the next day) so we will sure add these to the list.

Thanks so much for posting and all the great pictures.

Yum! I love Restaurantosaurus' Po Boy! We had it on our first trip but skipped it on the last 2... I will be sure to return next time.

Loving the reviews. My husband had said QS was the same across the parks. Can't wait to prove him wrong ;)

I love the pics. Really makes the review very clear. It's making me hungry, too. Lol. Those sandwiches at the various bakeries look good. I'm thinking a sandwich with a giant cupcake is an excellent use of a QS credit!
