UPDATE #293 FINAL LIST : DVC Christmas Tree, Sharing Holiday Magic!

Tony,

Thanks for all the kind words and making laugh, you are too funny.
I will be getting ready to see how much stuff I can pack into every void of my tree box.

Last year was our first Christmas at VWL so I wanted the tree to be very special.

I am glad I helped your DW get Disney, we really love going on our trips and meeting new people and DVC members. Hopefully we can meet up on some future trip.

I was wondering if you wouldnt mind sending me a PM of your home address.

Thanks again Tony and have a great weekend.

Jim.

We would love to be added to the list. A tree would be wonderful.

This will be my daughter's first Christmas at Disney. She keeps on asking, "how will :santa: know where I am."

If you need help with funds, please let me know.

We will be at BWV Dec 23- Jan 1. pixiedust: party:

Will be at SSR from 13th dec to 5th Jan, i know this is a long visit but we would love to join in with the tree sharing, cant help with tree but can mail funds as required. hope we are able to join in the magic.

I will be updating the tree list this weekend, I have noted everyones dates.
I will do my best to fit in your dates as first come first serve, and when we get more trees donated. Its still early, so hang in there we will get more trees donated to the resorts. :thumbsup2

This is perhaps the most magical part of this wonderful thing wdwstar does. Even though we're Jewish, Mommy is Catholic, and my family 'celebrates' most of both religion's holidays, to see my 5 y.o.'s face, when we came back from the pool (Mommy stayed back and decorated the room, and then joined us at the pool), as corny as it sounds was priceless and brought such joy to my heart, that I still grin like a fool as I remember it!

Your DD will have her faith in Santa reinforced for many years, when he finds her at WDW!

Enjoy!

-Tony

PS, I was beeing serious for this post!

Please add us to the list!

We'll be at VWL 12/23-12/28! We just added the trip (paying cash-ouch!) to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversay.

LBurg93: To add to what Tony said, we went for Christmas and our anniversary 5 years ago when our son was 6. He too was worried about Santa finding him. Santa certainly did, but he also found Mom and Dad too. I can honestly say it was the most magical Christmas I've ever experienced!

SSR dec18th > dec 22nd

And we would also like to be in the SWAP . I will be more then happy to donate to the tree or decorations.I can even send some money via Paypal if needed just let me know.

Thanks

We will, unfortunately, not be there for Christmas but I wanted to write & say what a lovely tradition of sharing and caring. Hopefully one of these years my family will be down for Christmas & I will keep an eye out for this tradition to be continued! How wonderful that DIS brought us all together!

We will be at VWL from Nov 22 -25th...and would love to participate again, if a tree becomes available for our dates. Add us to those who send their thanks to you for coordinating this wonderful tradition. Stan

I sent a PM yesterday to get on the tree list, but would also like to thank you on the thread for doing the organizing. Very cool! We'll be at BWV with my niece with us for MouseFest Dec 7-11. A tree in our 1 bedroom would be great! It's our first trip home (new owners) to BWV and we're really looking forward to it.

List has been Updated, Thank you for all the pms & posts, and Thank you for donating Trees ;)

Thanks for starting this thread, I've been eagerly waiting!
We'd love to get on the list:
OKW Dec 10-19
I'd be happy to donate some funds to get a tree, but shipping one from here would be very cost prohibitive. Just let me know if there's someone else who'd like to get together to get a tree for OKW and I'd send them some $$'s.

Merry Christmas!!!

greenban (Tony) and pixiechick thank you.

My daughter is also part Jewish, and she gets to " 'celebrates' most of both religion's holidays" and loves it. I will probably due as your mom did. Dad will take her for something, I will be running a little late or forgot something in the room.

This past October, I put a note from Cinderella by the door to meet her at the Castle for Breakfast at 10:00am. She started to scream at 7:00 in the morning to hurry up and to leave. I must say the next 3 hours was very hard for her (and us), but it was worth it all. Sometimes I wonder about the things we do to make others happy, especially our kids. pixiedust:

We will be at VWL 12/10-12/15 and would love to participate and share the tree. I saw the pic Jim posted does that mean it comes with all the decorations?

dsneygirl yes the trees come with all the decorations. I will add you to the list. :thumbsup2

We will be at VWL from Nov. 26 til Dec. 6. We would be glad to bring a tree if we need too, or if we can get one already there. Just let us know. We got to see Jim's(magicalmcwho)tree last year and it was great! We are so glad they are gonna be there the same time as us. Its always cool to meet other DISers. Turns out we were 2 doors down from each other. We had our balcony strung up with garland and lights.

What a lovely idea. We will be staying at the BCV from Dec 31 to January 5. We would love to participate in this if there is a tree available. We are travelling from the UK and unfortunately won't be able to bring a tree, thanks to those who are. Happy to make a cash donation pixiedust:
