Me and my girlfriend are 22 and 23... we've been together since we were 15! Chilhood sweethearts. I booked a suprise trip for us. We're going in September for a full 2 weeks, to coincide with our anniversary. We'll be doing Disney for the most part, but also Discovery Cove and Sea World. We're both Disney fanatics! And she was so thrilled when I told her I had been working my *** off and riding the overtime train and had saved secretly to pay for it.

We've both been several time before but never together. We did Disnelyland Pari (we're in the UK) for our 5th anniversary, but this will be that much better!

I'll let you into a secret to - there'll be a proposal whilst we're there! ::yes:: :flower3:

Got an idea of how I would like it to go...

Can you share that idea? I LOVE to read proposals it makes me sob!

I agree, share it with us! Us Disbrides love a good proposal story :cool1: My DF propsed at the MK, anything in WDW is truly magic:) Cant wait to hear more details:cheer2:

Awesome! I'm excited for you :]

I proposed to my fiancee by dressing a build-a-bear as Cinderella and putting the ring around it's neck. Then I gave it to her in front of the castle...she loved it!

My idea:

It will be the 2nd day of the 1 week trip and the first in WDW itself. Magic Kingdom. We will walk up Main St taking it all in and get the first pictures of the castle. Then we'll head to the rose garden and the wishing well.

"Apparently, this is the only place on earth where dreams come true...lets make a wish"

I go first, closing my eyes and tossing a coin into the well. Then her. When she opens her eyes I'll be on one knee.

How does that sound? Any tips on how to improve or how to make it more exciting?

We're staying off site if that affects us.

Could I realistically get CM, Characters or even Photographers involved without her being suspicious? I'm not likely to be apart from her the whole time we're there, as we're travelling by ourselves, and coming from the UK...

Also... if anyone has any ideas for special things/suprises I could do to make the rest of the trip all the more special.

Remember we're not staying on site.

Sounds Amazing!! I don't know about getting CM's involved but I'm sure there will be a photopass photograper around somewhere. Good Luck!

yeah there will be some Disney photographers aound somewhere!

A few ideas to get hold of the photographer.

you could get eye contact with one of them?

or when your g/f goes the the restroom- quickly find a Disney photographer and ask them to follow you because you are going to propose and then quickly run back to the restrooms to meet your g/f! heh.

or you could say to your gf - i want to go in this shop to buy you a present - and make her stand on the opposite side, a bit away from the shop and go in and ask if they can qucikly arrange for a photographer to follow you (without your gf knowing) and tell them because you are going to propose at the fountains. They will jump at the chance to help! Im sure they'll quickly ring on their walkie talkie phones and get one of the photographers to follow you or just hang around the fountain area!

When you come out the shop with nothing, tell her they didnt have what you wanted and talk her to walk to that fountain.. or you could get her a little present so you dont come out empty handed....

Awesome plan!
Yeah, the only thing I can think of is that if she goes to the bathroom....

there is also a website - called www.giftsofalifetime.com and they can create special packages for you ... for an example this is what they can do ...as an example (i enquired for my DF for a surprise)... If you go to the website and fill in the form- let them know you are going to propose and they will come up with some ideas of what they can do for you!!!! i think they are such great ideas!!!

''The Amazing Disney Lovers Race Our race takes place in EPCOT and involves lots of places in the park. Wayne will be met in the park and informed that a special present is waiting at the end of the race-if he earns it. To find it, he will have to go to places we send him and find hidden clues and in some cases perform certain feats in order to EARN the clue. (For instance, he will have to drink the Italian Cola drink found in the Cocoa-Cola Cool exhibit). He, with you, will be criss-crossing the different countries to locate his clues and he will be on a time limit. If he finishes on time he will earn the prize gift, if not, his gift will be given to a random person in the park. :-) - so of course he will win. One of the things we will work into the event is a trivia test on Wizard of Oz trivia. This is a fun event and works in rain or shine. The final gift is up to you and is not included in the cost of the event. You can choose anything within your budget and either send it to us in advance or have us pick it up for you. The cost of this event would be $345.00.''

another example

Jealous Princess:
For this event you bring Wayne to the starting location and there he will find a warning letter addressed to him, signed from some Disney princesses.
Snow White, jealous over Wayne's love of Stacey, has arranged with a Disney villain to put a spell on Wayne so he will fall in love with Snow White and her only unless . . . Unless Wayne can complete three tasks that are necessary to break the spell. The tasks will be found in hidden locations and will be in rhyme. The breaking of the spell will take place with a special kiss between the two of you and during that kiss, to show that the spell has been broken; we will douse you both with pixie dust. This event would be $295.00.'

hope this helps you a little

My fiance proposed to me at that very same wishing well on July 4th 2008. It really is a magical place where all your dreams can come true! :)

My DF proposed in the same way and I LOOVVVVEED it! Only one glitch came up in his plan, he was thinking of proposing during the fireworks and he found out that they close the wishing well during them b/c it is too close to where they set off the fireworks. Sooo he waited until they were over and it was perfect, no one was around and it was just us! I'm sure you could find a helpful CM who would take pics for you, just find a friendly face at the park near the well and ask. I have heard great stories about how they are willing to help out a guy with a ring!
DF and I split up in the park so I could do some shopping right before the fireworks and I had no idea he planned to get the ring from his sister and get ready to propose! I was just so happy to spend time walking the shops that I had no clue:rotfl2: ! HTH :)

Thanks for the input guys! It's going to be amazing whatever I'm sure....just want to make it that bit extra special. Y'know?

I'm a Disney fanatic, as is she. Luckily she doesnt know about these boards. I'll do a pre-trip report the month before i go and my first full report when I am back :D

I just have to say Congrats and I love HS sweethearts... Tim and I have been together since we were 16 and got married on our 8 year anniversary in Disney!!

Good Luck with everything. you sound like a sweetheart.
