Upcoming II exchange question

I'm a DVC owner but on my upcoming trip I'll be staying at BCV on an Interval International exchange. I tried to pay the $95 service fee which is charged to II exchangers about a month ago and was told that the fee is now paid during check-in. I've stayed at several DVC resorts on II exchanges over the past couple of years and have always paid this fee before arriving at the resort. Is this a new policy to pay the fee during check-in? I don't want to arrive at the resort and have problems because we hadn't paid the fee yet. Can anyone help with this exchange question, thanks.

This was a change made in the fall. You are now required to pay upon check-in at the resort.

yea you pay when you get there.

but you can still get DDP and DME.

It's probably because DVC doesn't trade with II anymore.

This was well before the change---it reaches back to at least May, if not before. I think DVC decided it was cheaper to just bill for it on arrival, rather than have Member Services take a call to handle the payment in advance.

Most people were paying at check in anyway.

Thanks guys, our last II exchange was last January and we paid the fee before we arrived. Didn't know about the change until I tried to make the payment with MS and was told to pay for it at check-in.
