Well, I am sick. I am 21 weeks pregnant and it totally sucks. My husband and I both ate something bad (we think frozen tater tots from Kroger--I know, so bad, but was supposed to be a fun treat) and now we are both paying for it, me more than my husband at this point. I feel dreadful and have the worst bend-you-over stomach pains, with intense intense nausea. However, everytime I run to the bathroom, I am unable to toss my cookies so to speak. How frustrating, and how PAINFUL. I hope this ends soon..it has been about 7 hours of builing pain...ugh.

I finally got sick--yuck. How dreadful. That is the 5th time I have ever been ill since I can remember. Gross gross. I feel much less nausous, but I still have some major MAJOR cramping. If anything, thanks for a place to vent in the middle of the night. :) Wish me well and send your prayers!!

Ooooo, that's rough. Feel better soon.:goodvibes
If it continues long, and you can't keep fluids down, please call your doc. Pregnant women can get dehydrated so fast.

I wanted to say call your doc too if it's not better.

Thank you everyone. I ended up going into the hospital because I was really starting to get dehydrated--and we live in Vegas, so dehydration can happen so quickly! I got two bags of IV and the baby is doing just fine. They sent me home and I was able to get some sleep today while my husband watched my two other kids. Hard to tell if it is something I ate or if I have a virus of some sort. I still have some stomach cramps, some waves of nausea, and quite the bout of runny number 2. Yuck. I plan on having some toast and gatorade for now and I am not really sure what to do after that. It seems like my pregnant body is starving, but my stomach will not take anything happily.

Thank you for suggesting going to the doc, though. The thought had crossed my mind as a possibility, but when so many people suggest it, it seems like the right thing to do.

Thank you!:goodvibes

What did the Dr. say? Be careful becaus the H1N1 flu is really getting going now and it has been especially hard on pregnant woman.

Take care of yourself and the baby. Hopefully this will be over soon for you.:goodvibes

The doc said that I probably just have a stomach virus. She herself was recently recovering from one. I had the slightest of fevers (99.6) and really was just dehydrated. No coughing or muck in my chest, so I think we are cleared from the H1N1 virus. I have been paying probably WAY too much attention to the virus and am especially nervous at how the pregnant people who get it are faring. It is hard to find a good story, though, of a pregnant woman who got the flu and recovered well. Just praying to get me and this baby through to October when he decides to grace us with his presense!

For now, though, I seem to be doing much better. I still have occassional cramps and nice waves of nausea (yuck) but I am able to drink gatorade and have toast so far with no problems. I am a bit weak from minimal food and sleep, so I am off to sleep some more and hope that the worst is over.

Thank you all!

Just be careful. You don't need to have a fever to have H1N1, and the coughing can come later. Take care of yourself!:goodvibes
